You actually were in Greater Manchester when in Wigan although Wiganers would say you were in Lancashire then. The border is just before you get to Adlington. Us locals have no idea why they put that Welcome to Lancashire sign where they did 🤷🏻♀️ It’s a pity we missed you passing White Bear…..saw our boat though. xx
With all the algae and water weeds, you must have had to stop 3 times a day to clean the weed hatch!. Also, the boat with the guns, did you see the artillery on the roof?

We also cruised the Leeds and Liverpool over the summer but from the opposite direction. Its always amazing that coming from the other way there are so many different things to see, like the creatures on the bicycle that we completely missed :) ps we passed you at Plank Lane swing bridge when you had your head down the weed hatch lol.
It was a very nice cruise. I was surprised at the amount of water plant life in some parts of the canal though. That patch that was so solid it looked like grass, I was wondering if that got caught up in your weed box.? Thanks for sharing this video, I hope y'all have a Blessed day.
Wow it's all go on the canal. Cargo ships, tugs, pirate ships....savage swans. I once had a nasty encounter with one of our black swans and a Cape Baron goose down in Tasmania. Until I went to Europe in my early thirties I didn't know you could get white swans. Yeah 30 degrees, if only the whole of summer would be that! Pixel is a lovely dog, what breed is she? Some sort of terrier? I enjoyed the trip.

DO YOU EVER FEEL ANY FRUSTRATION OF BOREDOM WITH THE PACE OR THE REPEATING REMOTENESS, OR IS THAT PART OF THE CHARM? I IMAGINE IT IS DIFFERENT WITH OLDER BOATERS. YOU TWO ARE STILL YOUNG, HOW IS IT WITH YOU? WINTER MOORING MUST BE A BIG PART OF YOUR YEARLY BUDGET? I KNOW YOU GO INTO A MARINA THEN. THE VIEWS ON YOUR VIDEOS ARE VERY NICE, SCENIC AS ALWAYS.

That kind of weed (duckweed) is a surface floater with no long stems - so nothing to get wrapped around the prop.

Great stuff! My understanding is that you can put a boat on a ship, but can't put ship on a boat. However, as yours is a boat, who knows?
