DISASTER nearly ruined the CAPE YORK Trip!

- This accident rattled me. But with the help of everyone around me I was able to get the big trip to the tip of CAPE YORK back on track. Im so glad i pushed on as my time spent up here at INJINOO and surrounding communities with all the locals was absolutely amazing. In this episode I jumped in with a couple of local fellas to go find some turtle and ended up in the creek catching BARRAMUNDI and MANGROVE JACK. Cracker day and huge thankyou to Mandai and Lyell for taking me out and sharing your back yard with everyone.
Shout out to all the Gundang and Anggamuthi mob for having me on country and making me feel so welcome.
Main thing is no-one was hurt in the accident.
And...you can fix whatever was bugging you on the trailer during the repair.

Nate all the remote areas that you have take us too and you have an accident at home, as long as you came out ok is the main thing buddy. Hopefully it can be rebuilt with some mods so you can continue to deliver the most unbelievable parts of FNQ and the cultural diversity of the Indigenous locals, take care and be safe.

Nath, mate, what an awesome part of the Cape, two absolute characters out in their boat with you sharing their ways and lands, be great to see more of that area!
But man, your so damn lucky getting out of rolling the Trailer the way you did, important thing no body got hurt or worse. And for all the help you received was outstanding to get you back on the road, and good to see them do that for you. Mate, check out Oricom Tyre Pressure Sensor’s, I run them on both the 200Series and the Boat Trailer or swap them to whatever I Tow. Little box about the size of a deck of cards, pretune it all for all running tyres, and it works great, for where you venture remote and highways, definitely worth every cent!
Thanks mate, I do run them, only on the vehicle though, so I’ll get them for the trailer. Yep, beautiful country up there, plenty more to come over the next few weeks.

Good on you mate, just talking with locals is a good place to start. Drop into the Ranger station or council office and start making those connections. 👍🏼
Not everyone who watches the show is "from the city". It's interesting that they sort of understand getting taught the "traditional ways" but this does not financially support everything they need to live. Explain where how they support their life style.
Yeah I’d didn’t really mean the city sorry, more just civilisation south of Cape York. Well these two fellas both have jobs to support them selves but hunting Traditional foods is still a huge part of their life, a way of staying connected to their culture.

I’m yet to meet anyone that hunts them regularly. I hear stories but mostly they’re left alone. Croc eggs are taken as food and to control numbers

Thanks for another great episode. Bad luck about the trailer though. How enjoyable it must be to go fishing with blokes like Mandai and Lyell. Just got to love how there’s no shit in these people. Life is about being happy and making those around you happy. Having fun while catching your own fresh food is as good as it gets.
