Just an Average Golfer giving unbiased opinions on all things golf, product tests, Golf travel vlogs and golf news!
For an average golfer, the content has just zoomed past average and entered the exceptional realm. I was swept away. I really enjoyed the still shots as well. Drone views in the morning = fabulous.
A great watch, I very much enjoyed the mixture of drone, still and video footage
I truly enjoyed your golf travel videos that you used to do. I also understand that you have a wide audience to keep engaged. Keep up the great work.
Yea it’s a difficult balance which annoys me a little, I really wish I could get a larger audience to support this type of content
Really enjoyable video Andy, not easy catering for a wide audience, but keep up the good work. 👏👏
Andy...Loved this vlog...keep them coming...I came from the USA on a Sabbatical and visited a few on your list this past summer: Craigilaw, Roxborogh, and Pwllheli. I wanted to hit Conwy but they were having a tournament...These vlogs are not only enjoyable but also helpful...
Loved the photos and scenery.
Beautiful photos and place!
Nothing better than a golf course, great light and photography. Would love to see more. Do you ever sell footage and images back to the clubs?
What a great trip Andy! Beautiful courses, luxurious hotels, delicious food and drink....living the dream mate 👌
Unreal few days Dave
These courses are lucky to have you visit and showcase them And. You do it so beautifully they each become a 'must play' course for any golfer visting the area. I love the style of content you are moving to/returning to. It is what you do best, and better than anyone else on YT. The photographic inserts are a great touch too. Are you doing your own videography, or is Mrs Sullivan working her magic behind the lens again?
Spot on Andy, wonderful content 🎯👍
Much appreciated
Great video Andy. Thanks for show casing Ireland. You are right, truly blessed here with amazing courses and hospitality. Links player myself. You cannot beat the links landscape in early morning or late evening sunshine. Have played all of courses in vlog, but there are sooooo many other great courses in this beautiful country of ours…
Yes and I will be back soon!
Love the scenery, please show more, this is why I enjoy golf.
Beautiful. My golf trip to Ireland and england just after covid was the trip of a lifetime. I hope to go back in a few years god willing. The courses were great and the people awesome.
I love this style of video, Andy. I think this is your USP as far as UA-cam content goes, I’ve not come across anybody else doing it anywhere near as good.
Really special video Andy, brilliant stuff.
I have to say Andy, of all the golf content I follow on UA-cam, I love the cinematic and creative approach you do. Éire abú 🇮🇪
Great video and stunning photos.
Stunning, loving the new vibe Andy
Much appreciated
Andy, avg at golf, scratch in photography!! Those stills were precious!! Thank you.
🤣👍
enjoyed the photos and the drone video, you are making me jealous.
Thanks
That drone flyby with the mist was Stunning Andy.
Gorgeous! Great Video!
Fantastic video….stunning imagery, much prefer this type of video….loved the tour of Scotland series so more please!
Yes my favourite content to film, just don’t seem to be able to get a big enough audience to support the efforts and finances required
Great video mate. Really enjoyed it.
Much appreciated
The drone shots 👏👌
Nicely done.
Great content Andy. I love the travel/course reviews. Keep trying to squeeze these in when you can!
I love them too, thxs
Loved the footage of all of the courses, would have been great to have footage of you playing 3-4 holes on each of the courses
Great video Andy the views were spectacular and the photos stunning keep up the awesome work
Thank you
Great video as usual Andy, you have a great eye for photography. Absolutely gorgeous golf course.
Glad you enjoyed it thxs
Top class volg Andy
Glad you enjoyed it thxs
Looks gorgeous Andy. Would be great if you would let us know green fees of the courses you visit Andy. One of the things I loved about your Scotland series was beautiful courses and affordable for us Average golfers.
Great videos and brilliant content, played druids a few weeks ago it was quality,,need to get my ass to powerscourt, i have been in those gardens a fww times its nice there
Powerscourt is well worth the visit
Loved that video, really like it when you do these type Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
You seemed to be annoyed yesterday when i said this was what made your channel great....but today you seem to be echoing some of my points...when you said you need to find a way to get this kind of content back into your channel
Well all i can say is i hope you do as this content was absolutely beautiful and amazingly well filmed
When you do this kind of stuff its another class...
I can see it must be expensive.....but when you look back at it you must feel proud of these kind of films
I don’t disagree with anything you said Robin, my annoyance as you put it is the lack of understanding as to why this style of content cannot be posted as frequently as you or I would like, as I keep explaining it isn’t a choice I have to make, the audience dictates and unfortunately as it stands this video and the previous attract 80% less views than ‘product based content’
@@TheAverageGolfer oh well that's a shame....but I understand fully what you say about views....I think Dan Hendrickson is experiencing a very similar thing....his vlogs were also amazing but have eased off dramatically and I see him making constant changes to try and get his views and subs up
As a very long time viewer/subscriber of yours I'm sure you will make the decisions you need to to keep the channel successful...from a personal point of view I just hope it contains some more of this type of content
@@robinc3307 I hope so and thank you for the long time support
Adare manor must be played Andy now that's a place 👌
Wow absolutely beautiful a pleasure just to watch you really enjoy your trip(I’am 40 shades of green with envy😂😂😂)
I wish I was still there!
I played Portmarnock in 1973 for Scottish Universities againt Irish Universities. An ageing Harry Bradshaw was still professional there and was a real character. My partner Jamie Moffat and I won our foursomes match in the morning I think by 5 and 4 and in the afternoon singles I beat John Carey, (I think that was his name) former Irish Boys Champion by 1 hole. We won the team match too. A super course so thank you Andy for reviving a memory from 50 years ago. I really enjoy your course visits and comments.
You were some player David, glad the video revived some memories
The golf club the average golfer played is not the same golf course as u played in the 70s. The portmarnock links was built in the very early 90s and has nothing to du wit the world famous portmarnock golf club. But it is built basically next door to the old course. So many people review the new portmarnock links thinking its the world famous old course.
Wow, superb that And, beautiful courses, I'm only in Cheshire and I've never been to Ireland - it's on the list now though, really enjoyed that, the scenery 😮⛳️🏌♂️👍
You should! It is a must visit and easy accessible from Holyhead
@TheAverageGolfer I'll certainly have a look at that, your vid had me intrigued, great drone footage too, they're so good, it's obvious that a lot of hard work goes into them ⛳️🏌♂️👍👍
My fave types of vids And. Really makes you want to play the courses.
Mine too 👍
Wish id known you were here. I live a coup.e of miles from the Kclub and i work in Palme4stownHose Golf Club. Take a look and next time your here id love to get you out
Palmerstown
Sorry pal it was late planned and full on schedule but may be back very soon, I know both courses and would love to play Palmerston
Let me know Andy and we can arrange it. Hopefully il be back playing.
Andy, you have done a great job of capturing the beauty of our courses. I'm booked to play portmarnock at the end of the month. Did you play the West course in powerscourt while you were here too?
No I only played the East, couldn’t see much of the other course I’m afraid so can’t give any feedback
@TheAverageGolfer it's just as good to be honest. You'll have to get it in next time.
@@johnnymurphy3110 ok thanks good to know, I would definitely return
Nice one... choice of music at the start is debatable
What a strange comment to make on a 22 minute video 🤷♂️ so many positives but choose to make reference to a piece of music? Sums up social media 👍
Really enjoy these type of videos Andy. Would be nice to see longer vids of each course 🏌️♂️
Are you aware I have also posted the full video from Portmarnock two days ago? I would like to know as it bothers me how UA-cam works or doesn’t in notifying subscribers
@@TheAverageGolfer thanks Andy, I will watch it now 👍 Even though I have the bell activated I have to search sometimes for your vids. I mainly watch on my smart TV for the full 65” experience 😜
@@kennymchardy it’s really difficult to know whether YT send notifications all the time, I am not so sure, anyway it’s a video that I really like so hope you enjoy
Did you make it to SEED in Carlow while you were here?
Unfortunately not we tried to meet and make it work but schedule was super tight
Beautiful course and hotel but certainly not for AVERAGE FEE 😅! Nevertheless it's fun to watch Andy, great photography by the way.
It must be a tiresome struggle to get up in the mornings to do your job Andy. I really feel for you.
2B or not 2B - that is the question, apparently.
That’s not Portmarnock GC 🤷♂️
It’s The Jameson Links
That was only renamed a few days ago
