Hi Spa Guy I'm a resident of Las Vegas and I understand what u mean about UNLV. My neice was going there but she didn't have the sticker at the time and she did have a citation and in my car. I'm sorry that happenes to u. I just love all ur videos abot Elvis. I was born in January of 1969 and of course didn't know anything about Elvis until way later in my age but I'm so happy that I can go to ur videos and get an understanding of Elvis. Now One thing I do remember is where he had a house in Hawai'i and u could see it wen ur driving on that side of the Island. I'm originally from Hawai'i and I was told about his house. And I had a friend who her dad was a helicopter pilot and he was flying Elvis somewhere and Elvis gave my friends father a ring. That is what ahe told me. But I would share those to u. Thank you Spa Guy for all that u do👍

Great detective work Billy, you win some you lose some but the information is still interesting. Its been so long since these movies were made that I find it astonishing that you are able to locate recognisable areas that are on film. we're all on the journey with you, and for the thumbs down people, we'll there's nothing stopping you to go and watch something else, I live in the UK yet even i know that what Billy does must cost him dearly in time and money, the US is a huge country so to get to these areas, and then use his very valuable time to research, travel to and fro, edit, and then upload these very informative videos which the majority of us really do appreciate can't help but wonder what planet you're from. I would really love to see you go and do better then the spa guy but I doubt it, it's very easy to criticise with a negative comment or a thumbs down when you don't look at the whole picture. Keep up the good work Billy, and as elvis would say thank you, thank you very much.

Although locations didn't pan out, this video was worth it just for the commentary about the Lied Library and you not feeling included, LOL!! I'm sure there was a safe space near you full of crayons and teddy bears, which is funded by parking tickets. On that campus, you were in the middle of Indoctrination Hell. Thanks for taking one for the team, Billy!

My late uncle retired to Las Vegas and although we saw a game or two there at UNLV, I don’t remember seeing that library.

The actress Teri Garr was also in this dance scene. And in many of Evis's movies dancing. She would know.
I've heard Teri was in Fun In Acapulco(but have yet 2 find her in that)but found her in Roustabout & of coarse Viva Las Vegas & Kissin' Cousins & Girl Happy & Clambake. So that's 6 but heard she was in 1 or 2 more but not sure.

The story the lady told of her mother getting a ticket during the filming of the movie has been told by her before as I heard and saw an interview she gave telling the same story. Thanks for all the videos.

Wow so much from you this week Mr. Spa Guy. Thank you so much. As always look forward to your videos on Elvis trivia and your other adventures as well...can never be too much. This is interesting even though "Viva Las Vegas" was/is not my favorite Elvis movie. My favorite Elvis movie is "Blue Hawaii" and always will be. Ms Anne Margaret is still around. Do you think she would be willing to do a interview and give you more information ? Be safe out there in your adventures. I am so sorry for your parking ticket. Everywhere the cities and towns gauge us for more money one way or the other. Las Vegas has not been good to you recently ! First you loose your drone (crashed and could not find it) and now the parking ticket, lol. Hi Billy, the dance scene was filmed at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City. Check the pictures in Google. Focus on the two doors to the right of the stage (not the door on the stage!). The gallery behind Ann Margret looks different because of the lightning in the movie. Focus on the pillar in the middle. There are a few square holes in the wall. Greetings from Germany!

I grew up in las vegas and go to lake mead all the time. The abandon buildings are because the water got so low. Back in the day, people would be able to dock the boats and walk to the buildings. Now its way too far from the water. Thanks for sharing Elvis history in Vegas 😊

"C'mon Everybody" was filmed at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, located at 4117 Overland Avenue in Culver City, CA. The interior of the gym still looks very much like it did when the scene was filmed there. More info here: elvis-collectors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=102282
Also, The unlv parking patrol sucks. So many people get tickets. Students pay a monthly or yearly fee to get those stickers to allow them to park.

Las Vegas has changed so much I’m not sure how you can figure it out! Thank you for all you do! You make it all so much fun! The last time I was in Las Vegas they were building the big wheel so you can tell how long ago that was! When I was there I couldn’t figure out where any of the things I had seen in the late 70s was! We stayed at the Sahara in the 70s!

Thanks for doing all this footwork and providing this great entertainment. I think you would really need to get your hands on architectural plans from the past 55 years to see all the changes in the structures to know for sure what actually took place and where. I would love to see you do one on roustabout and where some of that Filming took place👍

Fremont Street was listed as the location for the race scene in Las Vegas in a film blog I was reading.
There were several race scenes and Fremont is one of them but Elvis was never there as it was only what is called beauty shots..

Parking ticket? If you Don't Live in Nevada? Don't pay it.. They're not worth it for them to go after you to collect.. I tell tourist in my Resort town that are from my Home State the same thing.. I know, since I have the Article published discussing it by the City Council..On;y if their are 10 or more Outstanding Tickets per the Lic. Plate #, then they will come after you , but it cost the city $250 to do so.. Best to keep some change handy for the next time you park with the Meters.. or display a Phony Hndcap Sign from your Visor.. can buy them on line for $20 and look like the Real thing..comes with interchangeable Yrs and Mos.

I think Ann would have been great for Elvis but Elvis made prior commitments to Priscilla and her family due to Pricilla's age at that time he really didn't leave himself much of a choice than to marry Priscilla or face consequences . I even noticed in one of your videos of Elvis week that even Grace Land had a new steel sign/ marker spelling Aron with two Aa's ?!!! I couldn't believe that the people in charge of Grace Land would even consider doing that !!!!

Hey Billy, i never thought i would say i would be disappointed with one of your videos but unfortunately with this one i did get disappointed but it is not because of you, it is because you were caught in the same trap i was in 2014. That year there was an article about Viva Las Vegas and they claimed the c'mon everybody scene was filmed in the Marjorie Barrack Museum and i tralled to Las Vegas November 2014 and spent a whole afternoon in the University of Nevada and in that museum but years later i learned it was not filmed in the University of Nevada, the reason in the film it was in the University of Nevada and the fact that used to be the University court misled to this and they do believe it was filmed there. This scene was not studio but am actual court , it was in Culver City, CA. I promised to email you about Las Vegas but i'm sorry i didn't . But if I'm correct I have tagged you on Facebook on the album of the locations .
Yes after this was filmed we figured out it was at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City.. There are a lot of sites that say it was at UNLV though still..

I had promised you i would send you the locations of Viva Las Vegas, if i knew you would do videos about this film so soon i would have told you and you wouldn't have waisted your time going to University of Nevada to try to figure it out. I'm glad you made it to Lake Mead, i did the steamboat ride there. Looking forward to part 3. TCB!
I saw so many places where t.v. shows and movies ere filmed that I just happened on that were still there when I lived there 25 years ago that are gone now. I'm talking hundreds. So many things were filed there.

C’mon Everybody scene was filmed at the Veterans Auditorium in Culver City,CA. It’s just around the corner from MGM studios now Sony Pictures The pics of the stage they show you can’t really tell, but I’ve been there and have pics that you can see it. They still use the room for concerts and basketball games.

It’s so sad to see the lake level as low as it is. I know that this was filmed 3 years ago, but the amount of water that has declined is unreal. I moved to Las Vegas in 1997, my father and his friend became home builders in North Las Vegas. In the 10 years that I lived there I have seen the water highest point maybe 5 feet under the highest demarcation to about 25 feet. And I thought that was a lot. We actually owned boats while we were there and we always pulled in on the first road after the gate, I had to laugh…..it was 5 dollars back then for a day, or if you bought a annual pass it was 25 dollars. My heart always breaks when I see Vegas things. My Ex just passed in July and out of all the places we moved, we always came back to Vegas. She called herself a “Desert Rat” whatever that means. She passed way to young. Just like Elvis, but Elvis got 2 more years than she did.
I filmed there recently and it is really low now.. Very sorry for your loss 40 is young..
Oh and Billy I know you are busy but I would really appreciate it if you would investigate and get to the bottom of why they are MISSPELLING Elvis' middle name ?!!! I noticed that Grace Land has even joined in in the action for I seen in your videos of Elvis week they replaced the original white medal sign/marker that spelled it Aron by the gate with a new bronze sign with his middle name spelled with two Aa's Aaron which you and I both know is wrong !!! I could NOT BELIEVE MY EYES when I seen that sign as historic as that estate is that those in charge would go along with that ?!!!!
Diana I could do a video right now on that but it is such a controversial subject I have steered away from it.. You know some fans don't know how to act and I don't need the drama.. Maybe one I will.. and you are correct there was a sign there for at least ten years after his passing with one A.. I have film of it in 1988 that I shot..
