Sunset Riders! What a great find, especially in that condition. Every time I watch one of these videos I see a place I want to visit, but it's like different versions of 'the land of chocolate', and I have no idea where to begin!
checked this store out today down to your videos, only recently got into this retro gaming due to finding an old gameboy, today was like walking into a time machine into my childhood, good watch thanks for the content
Went here last week, I’m not local, from Nottingham. did have a hard time finding the car park ha!. When I got there the card machine wasn’t there 🤦♂️. But they let me do a transfer good shop 👍
9:50 Wow! That's one cool looking custom design of my favourite machine of all time, the Saturn. I'm curious to know whether that was for sale and what they were asking for it? On the subject of NTSC Saturn games, Gemma, I'd recommend getting your hands on (if you haven't already) Dragon Force 2, Darius Gaiden, Metal Slug and Shining Force 3 scenarios 2 and 3. You can get English patched versions of DF2 and the Shining Force 3 scenarios, thankfully. The Saturn has some phenomenal NTSC titles, and I always preferred the golden design on the cases to the knackered covers we ended up with in Europe.
The prices out there are really expensive some of those things out there you can get in the United States cheaper enjoy your stream you bring back childhood memories thank you
@@TheGebs24 my favourite was the recore collectors edition, such an under rated game. Other highlights was hellboy and alien syndrome on the psp. So much I'd never seen before including the pc engine and screen (which was unfortunately out of my price range).
Lunar 2 is a good find and one I'm look out for too, to join my copy of the first one. I wish you luck finding number one in good condition at a reasonable price.
101 miles for me! Not fair. It's the kind of place I'd have to go for either a day trip or during a weekend away. I'm going to head somewhere a little closer to begin with (Birmingham most probably, although I haven't checked Coventry out yet), and broaden my scope after. That said, Super Game Shack in Leicester looks fairly accessible for me, so I'm very tempted. The last store I went to that was even remotely like these in the videos was Computer Game Exchange (not CEX) in Birmingham about 20 years ago!
I envy the stores you visit. Where I live we have a good store but it's really the only retro gaming one so not a lot of variety over time. But it's still cool to have one and not any at all. Always cool videos!
Nice shop, games and accessories. Interesting that PS1 memorycard box, probably an early one. Bought a PS1 memory card new in 1999 and it was just in a clear blister box with cardboard backing, official Sony part.
9:47 the smackdown game for ps2 i remember playing most of them i remember one time i played as goldberg and was facing chris jericho i whooped him so bad at one point i must done 20 flying elbow drops to jericho.
That copy of the first Lunar game is actually sold to me, lol. Sorry about that. Going to pick it up next week. But this shop is just the best, James is a great guy, always free for a chat and has a great turnover of stock. Keeping these places alive is so important, as otherwise we’re stuck with the vagaries of eBay.
Haha no way! I’m gutted but congratulations. James and Gem are lovely. I feel blessed to be their friends honestly. Such genuine people. What other games do you like? DEFO keeping these places alive. It’s important to me too
Seen a few mega drive games i had on the amiga, cannon fodder and desert strike and 1 or 2 more. Think i seen the original fifa as well, had that on the snes 😂 feel like a big child watching this
Whenever i see Revenge of Shinobi i always think which edition it is. I had that game on launch and it had Spiderman, Godzilla etc before some got cut out and replaced in later versions.
Went recently for the first time. Bit of a nightmare finding the place even with satnav but a phone call to the shop and all was clear. And it’s a fantastic shop.
Fun fact: as an american i always buy PAL games from the UK cause its slightly cheaper... And i love the way the SNES controllers look. I dig the colors. I even bought Anime Mangas from there :)
@@wilsonmoreno8378 Cool. I know gaming costs a lot over there. It seems you had a lot of bootleg consoles back in the 1990's. It's always interesting to know what gamers did in other countries.
The only thing with these videos, as nice as they are to see shops still like that around, is the lack of how scary the prices are. I noticed some things with prices, but it was hard to see how much my wallet would be crying if I ever got in there. Also there was a PC-Engine in that shop too.. would have liked to see that out and what games were there too. If I had the money i would have bought a lot... alas I dont.
This place is absolutely amazing. It's pretty insane the amount of cool stuff in one store. I've heard of Hexen but can't remember if I've played it or not😂Great video as always Gemma
Great video. I collect anything up to Saturn, basically anything before 3D consoles, but mainly i collect PC engine/TG-16 which I've been collecting for over 30 years! The fact there was an original White Pc Engine in vid at 13.10 is enough to demand I visit this shop! Luckily I'm in Midlands so not to far! Also spotted a Mega-CD 2 which is one of the few items I'm after to finish my 80s 90s console display, so that's on the possibles list to ! Thanks for vid, really love the store hunting trips👌
