Fay Wray, one of the screen's great beauties, discusses her starring role in the classic 1933 film "King Kong," and how she enjoys being forever linked to it.
She grew up in LA and was into acting at an early age. She lived until 97 so she was on this earth tht long for a reason. Doing good to others with no expectations in return increases your longevity. You certainly could say that about Ms.Vina Wray. She was a Canadian, very classy I think. Born: September 15, 1907, Cardston, Canada Died: August 8, 2004, Manhattan, New York, NY Place of burial: Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA RIP
Love what she had to say. Especially about Kong's capacity to have an affection for something that he saw that he thought was lovely and he becomes like a real person in that moment.
Fay Wray was plenty sharp and had good acting range. And "the camera loved her." Too bad she was only cast in B movies. But she will always be the knockout blonde King Kong fell for, a great part in one of the best films ever.
She made a bunch of movies over the years and she was lovely. I would have taken her home. She and Robert Armstrong made "Kong" and "The Most Dangerous Game" at the same time in 1932, going from one set to the other. That takes more than a little talent.
The narrator was right in mentioning that no remake had matched the sequel. However, this interview obviously took place prior to the sequel produced by Peter Jackson which many felt, I for one, was comparable to the original. Actress Fay Wray, who played Kong's love interest unfortunately passed away shortly before the movie made it to theaters, having passed away the year before the movie opened at the age of 96.
The interview with Fay took place before yes, but when the narrator said it they show the poster for Jacksons 2005 version and he mentions remakes, as in the plural. He's right.
Belíssima atriz um bom trabalho no filme King Kong 1933 a fera se apaixonou pela bela muito bom esse filme a fera se apaixona pela bela . muita saudade dessa grande atriz.
I like to imagine a King Kong movie that was set in the future where elderly Ann Darrow had Jack Driscoil, while hanging out with their Grandkids, Ann begins to have those awful memories up her time with Kong and on SKullI Island. And she would her Grandkids the story, this would happen after seeing the news Godzilla and King Kong fighting along with other monsters to stop King Ghidorah.
I was lucky enough to meet Ms.Wray in NYC..back in the 1980's..she was a sweet and kindly person.

RIP
King Kong looks like an oldie but goodie.
I was able to ride that mgm ride years ago; it was so cool.
I kinda think Peter Jackson is as close to a good King Kong remake. But original is a classic!
Such a Crime that those King Kong models aren't restored and displayed in a museum much like Dorothy's shoes from Oz.
Wow she aged so amazingly and lived to an extraordinary age, a gem of 20th Century Culture.
She lived until 2004, wow incredible!

WHAT A GREAT ACTRESS AND CLASSIC MOVIE!!
I just saw this in the movie theater today. Cool to see a movie on the big screen 87 years after it first came out.
She was a beautiful actress for sure!
Have loved this film since I was a child! I used to make Kong out of clay & stick fur to him, lol
*Miss Fay Wray* the original _Scream Queen!_
She was my great-aunt. I'll means tell me about my family, my grandma was her sister

Fay was in a movie called mystery of the wax museum in the early thirties, quite good, Vincent Price did a remake in 1953? The house of wax.
