- Previously known as lama-cleaner, IOPaint has had a whole bunch of updates recently to provide your with a FREE and Open Source app for object removal, replacement and outpainting. With it's clean and intuitive interface, you won't need to be bogged down by tabs or confused by noodles.

This is awesome. There are some tools in automatic 1111 that kind of do this but he's right sometimes it just gets a little confusing. I'll have to check this one out.

Fantastic tutorial. I adore this channel; maybe, it will soon get a lot more subscribers. wanted to know if it was possible to retouch (add makeup to the person in the image) or colour grade (alter the backdrop colour) the subject of the image without making any changes. Keep up the amazing work, and I'm excited for the next video.
Thanks for the introduction! The LAMA removal and other removal models are great and convenient! The outpaint (extend) is not exactly outpaint, it forced me to select the whole current image and plus new area, which led to a very long rendering. And I'm on mac, it doesn't support GPU of M series yet, so purely CPU calculation. Hope it updates and support mac GPUs soon.
it works natively on the mac already using the metal backend, use device=mps and make sure you have the correct torch and torchvision installed previously.

Have been using good old Lama Cleaner for a while now, it's great for quickly cleaning images, specially AI images that have a lot of nonsensical details.
Im using windows11 and was wondering where my models are saved so I can create some linked directories :) Thanks
I used the Windows 1 step zip file. How and where do you add the --model name here? there is a .bat file to start the program.

Is it possible to setup a soft link in linux to have it check my models folder? i tried a couple ways but seems to crap out as soon as i start

Your video is soooo great. wow. i wanted to add real skin to Midjourney Portraits that had digital skin. i attempted to run your workflow in comfyui, and it had an error that i cannot even understand . ...if you are running on a cpu-only machine, please use torch.load ,... we mac people get stuck everywhere all the time.. sadly enough

hi just a question. How do i change from using CPU to GPU? evertime i start the program i notice its using only cpu and its super slow. Im using anaconda as your video
use cuda as the device, like I show in the video, for super speeeed

is an inpainting model mandatory or I can inpaint with regular checkpoint like in Forge? I tried with normal model and my results are a mess :(
Maybe try the inpainting controlnet with non-inpainting models? I’ve only been using the inpainting ones myself!

My post got deleted or i did somehow. Be careful installing this via the git guide it says to pip install (without changing pyenvironments) and i broke python for days doing that even after multiple reinstalls.
if you create a new environment it should not be able to mess with other stuff (like done in this video).
Everything looks so easy in your video... but actually, I am still struggling to find "ZITS"... I used the payed installer, and yet still there is not ZITS in my menu in the config-dashboard. Wished you would do the steps more easy to follow...
This video is for a standard, free install, not the pay for one. To make sure you’re able to follow along, I’d go with a standard install like in the video. If you need personalised help, drop me a message on patreon!
the outpainting kinda sucked, it is 2024, dalle could do these 2 years ago?
All of this nonsense will eventually be completely replaced by a general purpose system made for consumers, instead of for technicians. It'll be Open AI or Adobe or possibly even Apple to solve utter mess of programs and UI ugliness.

Sure if yo want to pay through the nose for it, this is nice, open-source and free :) and not too hard when you take the time to learn it.
