Absolutely love this channel, I have always been fascinated with American chinese restaurants, so nostalgic to my younger years, keep up the great work!!
Oh man! This is a real piece of American history right here. Local Chinese place is always getting into our gated community and leaving menus attached to our door knobs by rubber band. Now I know where it started.
Love the drama of it all with the fistfights and court dates 😂 Can't argue with the results, though. Interesting story and excellent storytelling as usual!
I love your channel! I'd like to ask you your opinion on what some dishes/food articles appearing in an 1885 news article might be. I figured a lot of them out, but the English transliterations are rough. Examples: Ha Pan Lan? A fish called "maaguee"? Tu-Pocuee??? I'd love to share this article with you and get your ideas. Thanks!

It definitely drastically changed how Chinese food takeout worked in New York!
Haha...I was leaving menus back in the 1980s. Only in postboxes and through mail slots, though. Another fun episode!

Can't argue with the results hear, hear. It must have been extremely annoying for the early UWS residents. 😑
I rather have these menus at my door instead of the shitty local pizza places that can't make good pizza.
I started making pizza at home a few years ago, never turned back.
family guy did a skit on that
What an episode! Marvelous work.
Incredible story
I read somewhere Misa Chang only had a primary school education. It's incredible how she was able to accomplish all of this.
