I bought one yesterday to replace my dyson. It is much better ergonomically. I have a bad vack which makes this important and this is much better than the dyson in this regard. Also having 2 batteries is fantastic. Gives you time to do everything thoroughly.
You should consider reviewing one of the newer LG A9s. Both the A927KVMS and A929KVM come with two of their newer batteries and an extended vacuum time. Neither comes with the soft roller attachment sadly, but they sell the soft roller attachment directly on their website currently for $108 and it's in stock. As a mechanic, I love the design of this vacuum. Easily maintained with removable, cleanable, and replaceable pre-filter mesh and filters. It has swappable batteries like cordless power tools have done for decades, with a built in secondary charger for the battery in the dock. A collapsible wand for vertically challenged people such as myself as well as for kids to help with cleaning. On top of all of that? Easily accessible and replaceable parts are able to be directly ordered from the manufacturer. Massive points from a right-to-repair perspective. From an engineering perspective, this is an amazing design. I truly hope LG continues in the vacuum space, because this is genius.
I love my CordZero. I originally wanted the Dyson V11 but couldn’t justify the cost ($1200 AUD) but I brought the CordZero for $700 (with bonus accessory pack). The CordZero has 3 power settings. You need to hold the plus button for three seconds to enter turbo. Each battery lasts for 6 mins on turbo with a powered head.
Wow. I cannot believe the stark difference in results you have @2:23 listed for the Dyson V11 vs. Performance Review's tests with the exact same unit. You two have the same results for the LG A9 but his tests show the gauge way lower than even 45CFM. Can you speak to that?
First bought in 2019 it was a good vacuum for 2.5 years. After 5 years the batteries are no good. If you don't mind buying a new one every two years then maybe selling it on FB or some place its a good vacuum for that. It has a design flaw where the anything big gets caught where the elbow is at the top of the neck. After 5 years its really not any good for vacuuming a full 2K sq foot house, default to the corded always. I will probably keep mine for a car vac and vacuum off the couch if the cat is caught sleeping on it.
After all of the Dyson battery issues in recent years, I switched horses and got a stripped-down LG Cordzero Model A900BM through Costco for an amazing $250. The hitch is that it only comes with a combo floor roller and a crevice tool and to get any other attachments it costs you another $125 minimum. I really need a combo-tool, but you have to cough up a full $125 to get an accessory kit. So at $375 it's really a toss-up with a new Dyson on sale. The OD of the inlet tube is a non-standard 33.5 mm so you can't even use standard attachments. I may take it back.
I have access to both the Dyson V 11 animal and the LG Cordzero. The short handle comes in handy when I vacuum my bed every night because I have 2 small dogs and 1 medium dog that sleep with me. It helps because my room is smaller and I have very little walk path with my dresser, nightstands and bookshelf and I can stay on one side of the bed and vacuum the length of the bed by just using the roller and not the attachment like I would with my Dyson without my sheets getting tangled. Where I prefer the Dyson is when it comes to house cleaning. I'm 6'4 so I like the longer handle and I do prefer the bin of the Dyson over the LG but both are great choices
@@gooseseey4687 I tend to agree. That would mean this vacuum is a top contender. I just ordered one for cheap on eBay and can't wait to try it. Only wish it had a light!
Contrary to popular belief, the mop attachment does not use the suction of the vacuum. It is simply has 2 spinning disks and a water tank to keep the disks moist. It is meant for lighter cleaning.
Was wondering why this was the only top end cordless vacuum alternative sold in Australia opposite of Dyson. Brick and mortars gotta have those margins.
Best vacuum reviews on UA-cam. Not saying you have to do this but it would be a great time to start testing filter longevity since some of these new vacuums with the LG are coming out with multi-cyclones as compared to others.
HELLO! That was an excellent review very helpful indeed. I like LG so I purchased this with the Kompressor and mop nozzle - before I watched your review. Just from reading the manual, however, reviewedcomponent of the system? I was very sad that the Slim Hard floor nozzle was not included and not easily located either. So, thank you, Denise
Great review as always. If I'd known about this one I may well have bought it instead of the Dyson V11 due to it being quieter, though I also find the V11 on automatic setting to be quite inoffensive (for a vacuum). That said, the battery pack's design is just plain ugly.
I think they have upgraded a bit as I have the A9 but it has a turbo mode as well and came with a special mop nozzle also. Oh and when you empty it there is a compressor lever that helps compact the dust and stuff so it empties easier.
Got this vacuum for $100 from a rich person in my area not very used. After two years the two small wheels on the front main cleaner head, the housing around them cracks and the wheels fall off. You can't put them back if it cracks, as the thin plastic holds the metal rod in place. The part from lg is an assembly, but the assembly stops short of this part of the head. It's only the back and sides of the housing not the bottom back portion. So you are forced to purchase the entire nozzle which is 107.99 plus shipping and taxes, comes to $120. Not a great time. Pretty messed up that the small wheels aren't bearings or spherical to avoid pressure on the plastic housing over time. Yikes
Costco has a LG cord zero PLUS on sale right now for $370. Would you suggest the vacuum at this price point? I purchased the simplicity s65, but might return it bc I saw the LG at costco....
@@VacuumWars looks like they are releasing a swappable battery version of the v11 torque drive as well, there's a render of the outsize vs v11 that shows the red battery release button. Very impressive review. You seemed to provide a through test of the device, although I would have liked an opinion or two on the apparent sturdiness and durability of the device and its accessories. In the past I've found LG to be long on things like features and style but short on quality.
I was lucky enough to score a hardly used example for free as it didn't come with any batteries or charge cable / unit for some reason? My enthusiasm and excitement was very short lived however upon learning how much a replacement battery costs around the $200 Aussie dollar range which is a bit steep considering they still cost around $750-$799 retail.
