Btw, I totally understand you getting emotional about this story. I got almost teary eyed listening to it. I'm glad that he's alive after such a heroic act, and falling from so far up.

I've skydived twice. Loved both times but the 2nd time I had the most surreal peaceful moment of my life ever. Floating down with the parachute open...quiet...looking all around. Loved it.
Then I hit the ground, my legs weren't properly low enough so i took the brunt of the impact on my 🍑 and wow it hurt. A few months later I ended up with a back injury which my doctor assured me had nothing to do with my bad landing but I still can't help but think maybe... I'm in constant pain but take pain meds which helps me ignore it somewhat.
I plan to skydive more once I get a proper helmet and take the course to solo dive so I don't have to do tandem. My dream would be to travel the world and skydive everywhere I go. Cherry blossom season in Japan has to look gorgeous from a skydivers perspective.
What happened to Dave is my worst nightmare.
Youre brave for skydiving! Oh noo I'm sorry you got hurt! Hopefully you can heal soon and Dave can too! Skydiving in Japan sounds awesome!
I think this was the first time that I can tell that Mr Ballen had to stop a couple of times to collect himself and not let his emotions overwhelm him. Very well edited, but I know the man had to stop. I sure as hell couldn't have made it through this story, even after 50 attempts.

I literally can't watch this video without tearing up God dammit! This is the 5th time! What a bittersweet story. In their last moments people show who they really are. In his last moment he thought about saving someone else's life at the cost of his own😭 What a beautiful soul.
Not many of Mr Ballen's stories really have much of an emotional effect on me. However this one really has... wow...
