    can't believe i watched the whole thing lol although i had to FF certain parts while you was looking around for things, glad to see it worked out but you need to remember to keep your work in the came frame as sometimes you are doing it outside of view

      Yes sir, you are correct! I just got a monitor that now is in front of me that will help. I think to that I need to zoom out for a wider view so I don't get out of frame while working and then zoom in when I want to show something particular then zoom out again. Old habbits are hard to break.

      Its just easier for you to FF through a video than for me to edit it out. It takes me maybe up to eight hours for my cp to just upload the files from my sd card.

      yeah i know it can be hard to remember to multi task all these things while trying to work and repair something or look for things and keeping your hands in front of the cam view frame @@Lighters-cf4bd

    I’ve got a WIN 2000 that looks exactly like this and it too leaks imagine that. I can’t thank you enough as you have taken a lot of the guess work out of this project for me. My brother is really wanting it fixed as it was our Mom’s favorite and he has a massive collection. I was wondering what you soaked the tank in to test for leaks and I never saw you remove the roller pin and it seems a bit trickier to take it out than RE installing it.
    I am reversing what you did but it doesn’t want to unscrew. Thanks for the video and any further help would be much appreciated.

    Hello!
    Could you make a video of how to disassemble the top nozzle if it is not a screw but is encapsulated. Where can I buy the red screwdriver for draining the gas from the lighter. Thank you for the videos you make!

    Good day, sir! I have a question regarding the nozzle. When it is pushed down - the gas flow stops. But I see nothing that actually mechanically pushes it down when the lighter closes. How does that work? I have a similar Win lighter and it just keeps releasing gas when I close the lid, as nothing interacts with the nozzle.

    • @Lighters-cf4bd
      @Lighters-cf4bd  6 місяців тому +1

      the mechanism is on the inside under the lid spring mechanism.

      @@Lighters-cf4bd I see. Mine is missing this whole mechanism. Will try to find/make an alternative. Thank you very much!

    My WIN lighter is just spurting out gas from the base when I try to re-fuel it.
    Any ideas how to fix it?

    • @Lighters-cf4bd
      @Lighters-cf4bd  Рік тому

      Yes send it to me along with $50 and I will repair it. I'm not trying to be rude but people need to realize that this type of question is not a question that can be answered without seeing what the problem is. For instance, say your a mechanic and someone calls you and says my truck is missing can you tell me how to fix it. There could be several reasons why things aren't working right. This is why I post videos. You need to take the time and learn from all the hours I spend making these and learn for yourself, or send it to me or find someone close to you who may be able to help you.

    Have scoured the internet for an exploded diagram of this lighter and can not find one. Flame adjustment screw area appears to have a leak and guessing it is the rubber gasket/o-ring. Any thoughts on where I might find a diagram? Love the videos.

      @@Lighters-cf4bd Hi, I was repairing my Win lighter just now. I also happened to have the problem of leaking gas. I searched online for a while but didn't find the manual. Can I ask if you know any website where can buy lighter parts (some of my parts are broken), thank you !

    • @Lighters-cf4bd
      @Lighters-cf4bd  2 роки тому

      You won't find sny diagrams. Your best bet is to make one for your self. If you need orange size just measur the outside diameter of the Part as well as the thickness of the oring channel and look around on oringsandmore website. Look for nitrile rubber 70 duro

    looks like it leaked at 40:33-40:34 when you tested it, but it was only one bubble.

    • @Lighters-cf4bd
      @Lighters-cf4bd  2 роки тому

      I saw what your referring to, The single bubble coming from the base of the valve. Keep in mind that the valve when completely open will seal off the gas from the thin rubber washer thats on the bottom of the long valve. When the valve is closed the stopper will seal off the gas as well. the tiny bubble your saw is what happens between completely opening and closing the valve. The small bubble that only appears between opening and closing is a small sacrifice to have a working functional lighter. In a world of fixing vintage lighters that have long been discontinued, that have to be repaired with seals that aren't exact, can sometimes be very tedious work. I even looked it having seals and orings made to exact dimension because of this. The problem, is the expense! The mold for each oring or seal was $150 each to have made. This Micro bubble as I call it, happens only once every time you open and close the valve is a small price to pay to have a beautiful
      vintage lighter up and working again and at a decent cost of repair

    Do you know where to get replacement parts for WIN 2000 lighters? I am looking for the part that keeps the flint in place (the last piece you put on the lighter towards the end of the video).
    Any help would be much appreciated.
