    Bill is an under-rated musician/composer, and an under-rated part of Snarky Puppy. He contributes a lot more to their sound than people realize. Love Bill!!

      It's our own faults really. The fact that crap like Justin Bieber continues to be perpetuated and sold is not because of some heinous plot by the music industry and recording companies. It is because we continue to BUY it!
      If we bought this instead of more Bieber, then the execs would figure it out damn fast and these guys would be making the execs their millions instead of our current generation of pop stars. But we don't.
      So the best thing you can do now? Share this music around and get folks to buy the tracks and albums. Prove that this kind of music can be profit-making for the execs and eventually we'll see more gold in this vein.

    It's been over two weeks now since this was first posted to UA-cam so we've all had time to cogitate, evaluate and appreciate and I am sure that all right-thinking people will agree with me that this is the best ever piece of recorded music ever! I, for one, cannot wait for the extended 12" version.

    gostei da caracteristica deste artista, da forma como conduz a musica fazendo-a crescer, tocante em nosso interior, me provoca uma vontade de viajar em silencio, mas numa auto-estrada num carro bom, porém possante e em vez de voar, correr ouvindo o som.

    Can anyone explain how they triggered/layered/processed the drums on the solo section?

    • @jordanzimmerman7590
      @jordanzimmerman7590 10 років тому

      I don't hear layering. But, it sounds like the drums are heavily processed. But, notice he has lots of tape on the drums to get a dead sound.

    • @JGerman68
      @JGerman68 10 років тому

      Jordan Zimmerman There's definitely some phase shift going on there at least at one point on the drums. Could be plug ins. Could be outboard Eventide or something done at the time of tracking. One never knows as a listener. But it's cool and done well. That's what matters.

      Positive, as I've used them. We've used 20" as well. When it's about the sound, there's no rules. He generally uses 16"s, but in the studio, it's no limits.
