I just love how Sput just looks like he is having the best time of his life the whole time!
I love watching michael league. You can tell he loves all his friends and is so incredibly happy for them when they hit that zone
9:42 and on, it's hard to put to words how beautifully the song was ended. The harmonies are breathtaking...excellent performance!
Didn't expect to find you here...
This is one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard in my life
As I’ve mentioned on another video of this track, my new hobby is discovering all the different performances/versions of RW. They each have unique stories to tell with the different intros and outros. Pure art ❤️
Bill Laurence is a modern day Bill Evans
wow yes, i can hear it
Definitely
Yessssss!
Not sure that I'd go that far... Evans set the bar soooo, so high.... But to be sure, BL is reaching for it and getting some touches here and there, with a few fingers getting a grip on it for a while... Not a knock on BL, but simply that Evans created and mastered... All others can merely attempt... Honestly, I'd say that Keith Jarrett's feel is closer, but even KJ is no BE... It's like that you know ;) ~ Nonetheless, it's breathtaking listening to these guys reach for it!!
Bill is our generation's Bach/Chopin/Rachmaninoff.....while keeping it original. This is just pure magic.
Steven Ramlal yes indeed!
Love your comparisons to these great Classicals.. totally hear Rachmaninoff
Bill Laurence is magic
This is so beautiful on so many levels, fitting for the chapel setting, even with the high energy... there still that underlying solemnness...a spiritual embodiment . This musical arrangement seems like an appropriate song track for espionage movie... (007 type) , set in an old city in central Europe.
Bill is a master arranger👍🏾👍🏾
My favourite thing EVER! I lie awake on my terrace in southern Spain listening to this in utter awe. Love you Bill ❤️
This right here. The cure for what ails you.
I love it when he does his impersonation of Linus with added smoke and lights in the first bit....(head down, feelin the vibe, at one with the music)
No matter what the music, you don't often see cello players neck/head-grooving :-D
yea I loved that,.. I noticed it too
that and I bet strings were feeling pretty good about themselves hitting the cue coming out of that wild open section 6:50 or so
High performance...new generation of jazz...great musician...with League...fusion... i hope to see more and more performance like that in my life......
The single most mind blowing live musical performance I’ve ever seen was SP doing this song in Lincoln NE years ago. Stunning. Especially the ending.
horn sounds so good!! great arrangement and playing
That intro so beautiful!
From the opening and throughout this is perfection - Laurance and the group (mostly form Snarky Puppy?) are so tight and perfect in all the shading and nuances. I love the string harmonies - so unique!
GOD DAMN, I LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!
amazing story, for eternity, I was really amazed in Wien (WUK) with Snarky, see you in Glasgow and Dublin
Absolutely nailed it.

músic for the soul
YES!!!!
Anyone know where I can get transcriptions of these songs? I'd love to study them and learn to play a few licks.
You have amazing tools at your disposal. 2 hands, 2 ears and the ability to replay segments endlessly. I always learn sooooo much more this way.
2:46 is when the rif starts for anyone trying to learn this
what a blast
Yes - I was sure they were going to lift off somewhere between 6:45 and 7:00!
Dentro de toda la basura musical que nos envuelve, aun existen pequeñas obras de arte
love it
Круто
Was this the encore?
JESUS!!!!
Why is this now unavailable? :(
Miles Saunders cause they want to make us sad :'(
sounds amazing. right around 7 min drummer comes full stop. mighta been a slip!! sounds like he was supposed to keep going. i could be wrong. these guys are top of their class but just watch, bill looks back and they have a little laugh. pure showmanship and professionalism!
i think its a nice addition/accident either way, its great
Pretty god damn sure sput knows what he's doing.
Drew B yah im pretty sure too. i was just saying
I don't think it was preplanned, but it works.
If you listen to the other versions of the song, the drummer stops right there as well, so I'm fairly certain it's not an accident, just a weird part of the song.
I am pretty sure I heard this goodness in a movie. Anyone?
Braveheart similar chord progression at the end
Anyone know where the extended intro comes from ?
Jacques Le Brun I believe it's just improvised in D minor
Okay, its just so beautiful
Any chance for Sheet Music of this original piece?
how can they just sit !!!!!'
groundUPmusic!
Change the thumbnail! It would get this video more views!

"This video is not available" 😈
The ending sounded almost like Go Go Penguins
Zach Bird which song?

1:30 Stephen Hawking
hahahahahahahah!
The bassist face is worth a giphy
floorvredenborg That’s Michael “Legend” League
Who disliked this!?!??!
Who cares?
maybe marvel or DC fanboy freak. Why just did you ask??
Bots!
Apparently someone with a differing musical taste than yours. Imagine that.
Oh WOW ! No comment... (I'm breathless & voiceless !)... *** >(*!*)< ***
9:57 what happened? Did Michael's bass lose tuning? Props to Bill for immediately changing course. A bit unsatisfying though!
not that I noticed
Гавно музыка, слишком много стандартов и шаблонов.Ничего интересного не услышал.Профессионалы взяли в руки инструменты.Называется так.
I didn't care for it. Too much tension, not enough repose. Nothing wrong with the guy's playing, I just didn't like what he played - Lumpy
