I believe this feature is fitted to Freddy to calm children during a blackout. Say there's a storm outside and the lights go out in the pizzeria. Freddy would say "It's ok boys and girls, the power will be back on soon". Then proceeds to play this with his face still lit up for children to see.
A bit late but i'm pretty sure it's the other way around. Freddy is playing it for himself as he believes your the purple guy and his reward is killing you just like how the bullfighter would kill the bull at the end of the show. The whole night is the show and he's gonna brag about it before he kills you. Of course bragging about it gives you a little bit more time before the night ends with you in a suit or you leaving the coliseum

For example, the one loud “click” at the end is most likely the audio source music box recognizing that it’s reached the end of the music disk, and shutting off the machine. Looking up videos of “Pholyphons,” I was able to find several music disks which sound near identical to this arrangement, and they all feature that click sound at the end when the disk stops playing.

You will never actually hear anything past 0:20 in the game, because its in the code that once freddy starts playing, theres a 20% chance to go dark every 5 seconds, up to a maximum of 20 seconds

Amazing how it's so terrifying in-game because it means, unless you're lucky and are close enough to 6AM, you are screwed, yet it's a beautiful and almost calming piece out of context.
I'm honestly relieved when it plays in-game most of the time because I tend to use it tactically. Like if Bonnie or Chica are already in the room and I can't close their door, I'll close the other door, turn on the other light and wait it out for as long as possible before opening the camera and waste as much power as possible to trigger it so they don't kill me. (This is all assuming I'm already close to 6AM and at low power btw)

You will never actually hear anything past 0:20 in the game, because its in the code that once freddy starts playing, theres a 20% chance to go dark every 5 seconds, up to a maximum of 20 seconds
Actually when Freddy's in the kitchen you can hear him playing the full thing, though when the power is out yes you can't hear the full thing

I'm honestly relieved when it plays in-game most of the time because I tend to use it tactically. Like if Bonnie or Chica are already in the room and I can't close their door, I'll close the other door, turn on the other light and wait it out for as long as possible before opening the camera and waste as much power as possible to trigger it so they don't kill me. (This is all assuming I'm already close to 6AM and at low power btw)
