    I am 73 and male and am astounded at the level of misogyny that existed in my youth as seen in this video. I would have seen these clips at the cinema in between the features and thought nothing of it. We have thankfully come a long way in my lifetime.

    ''Fashion...has to be ' planned ' months ahead '', (19'42''). Fashion houses' manipulation is as much a reason for fashion changes as evolution.
    People buying businesses' products off the peg sold to them as their ' individuality ', which can be done to a degree by altering, mixing and matching, and accessories combined, buy only wholly by personal tailoring.

      “The world is moving forward”? Forward to what? Certainly nothing better. Society needs to be better if it is progressing. Progression is not simply moving forward with new things and ideas. True progression is when society gets better. The corruption of the minds of the young on a national scale is not progression, it is regression! Because it is easy to understand that todays ideologies are evil yet you are too blind to see the evils of modernity and say society is getting better, you are without excuse.

      And look where society is today. In a very poor state. Not saying that is connected with women's equality - that I have no issue with - but maybe mindlessly moving forwards isn't always the best idea.

      partly because in the great war, women replaced men in the factories as men were being sent into the frontlines which pretty much destroyed the argument against suffrage

    Equal pay for equal work, experience, seniority, and performance. It's unequal for women because it's a floating combination of employers who keep silent on what wages are paid, and there aren't enough women putting in the hours or who apply for the jobs that more men do. There are plenty of places that pay for equal work, but if the associate doesn't put in the work expected, it doesn't matter who the associate is.

    • @WitchKing-Of-Angmar
      @WitchKing-Of-Angmar 2 місяці тому

      I don't think there was anything wrong with society giving men the higher pay. When is a women providing for a family of 3-6? It's usually the man who takes the hardest job, and gets the most pay because he sacrifices his time for his beautiful loving wife and sweet children. There is nothing backwards about that concept.

      @@johnathandaviddunster38 How are women superior to men. Men sacrifice everything by taking the harder jobs. If they have a good job? Oh the humanity then! Sorry that the male can't have enjoyments in life, he is just the keen figure of aid to your threading life you think is more important over another human being. Do woman today even let men have opinions, or is it always sexist whatever they say, as though the thought of women being inferior is always on the mind of a man at all times (doesn't that sound like the crazy book narrative a feminist writer would superimpose)
