I agree VOT fot "p", because the burst is the part of voiceless plosive's VOT, but the burst of "b" is already voiced, so it can not be a part of VOT of "b"'s VOT.
I wonder if you show me how to do with annotation and segmentation of stops both plain and labialized in the context of initial and intervocalic positions.
Thank you for this tutorial; can you do a video of how to enable the identification of voicing i.e. the 'blue line' on praat? this would be really helpful to make not going off track! is the blue line 'pitch' ? Thanks
Thank for the helpful video! But I'm wondering where the VOT begins. Does it begin after the release burst for the stop? Or does it start as the release burst starts? Should we include the release burst when measure the VOT?
Thanks for the video. I had a couple of questions regarding the measurement of /b/. How come I am unable to see the voice bar? Second, I have always found the voicing follows the burst, but here it seems to be opposite. I would appreciate your response.
anyone know how I would go about measuring vowel duration? Is it as simple as zooming in and selecting the part of the vowel after the VOT until the end of the vowel waveform?

Quick question, for the VOT for /b/, should I write it as +0.015 or - 0.015?
