What an actor! He's just a marvel - we are so fortunate to be living in his time period on earth!!! I adore this man!!!
And arguably the best movie kisser of all time. Curls MY toes. Sigh.
I fell in love with Timothy Dalton when I first saw him in Jane Eyre when I was 13 and have been a fan ever since. I LOVED LOVED LOVED your video. The music was magnificent too!
I had a Mr R thing going too, as a young girl. Messes up you expectations of men. right? Still love him in the movie, though.
Superlative talent!! & that well modulated voice! His smoldering good looks & tall stature did not go to waste. Hope he mentors aspiring classical actors. Pass on your talent, man. Congratulations, TD, on your 50 years in film, theater & tv. Truly an inspiration!
He is perfection!
From head to toe
I think he was the best Bond. Love his subtle intensity and class.
I think some times he comes off over the top. But he is predominately a stage actor and they have to play to the back row.
what an underrated actor.
Great... perfect.. great actor... gorgeous man!
so damn sexy.....i have just discovered him after watching him in Jane Eyre. Unbelievable talent!
I don't know why they keep making that movie. Timothy Dalton nailed the role. No one can fit the role better. Game over.
Same goes for Rochester's role.
I've had a mad crush since I saw him as Rhett Butler and have watched anything else in between. That's quite a compliment since I was only in 4th grade at the time. I adore him ;)
Love Timothy Dalton 💛💓
He is the perfect Julius Caesar! I love him in this role!
Great vid! Gosh...Timothy in his prime...soooooo handsome (sigh!) and such a wonderful dramatic actor. The music you chose is perfect, too - classic and majestic...like TD! :)
Bellissimo video!!!! Complimenti! Grandissimo Timothy Dalton!!
such a gorgeous man! Great video.
On 3 September 2012, Timothy and I have our 40th anniversary! In 1972, on 3 September, a college date made the mistake of asking me “What movie would you like to see?” I carried WUTHERING HEIGHTS under my arm in high school, read it over and again. I’d already seen TD in LION IN WINTER but not until “Heathcliff” did I “fall in love!” During the entire film, I sat “drooling,” elbows on my knees. After the first time, I opened the theatre and closed it every night and weekend. ~ Janet
You and I both, I first saw him in Wuthering Heights in high school. Had no idea who he was but made sure I found out fast!
I love Timothy dalton
Great idea to make this video Corinna. Some of his best performances, and the powerful music suits the video. Great job! :)
the best james BOND ever!! the most charismatic of the whole lot...
@wincipoet I absolutely agree with you! Charming, brilliant and gorgeous!
Thank you, Janet! I'm glad you like it. It's strange that no one else has done a video about TD's historic roles before. He's been in so many period dramas, I couldn't even get all of his performances in one video! ;)
I watched the Beautitian and the Beast last night ( I am getting to the end of what Cable has to offer) and he made THAT even good.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED the music to this!! My lord!!! VERY VERY well done!!!
This is epic !
I have to see this one before bed. Thank you for your love in putting Timothy's videos together. I was looking for new Anne Boleyn but saw him. What can I say? ;-) ¬ Janet
Well done! Splendid!
Hes one of my all time favorite actors and ive met him a few times. Hes very cool to talk to. All we talked about was 007. In the Living Daylights, i told him instead of the Aston Martin Volante, i would of used a 1980 Chevy Corvette.
Yet again, I can't stop watching this! You've done an incredible job! Thank you! ~ Janet
moy samiy, samiy, samiy lyubimiy aktyor!!!!!!on lucshiy iz lucshix!i samiy lucshiy i krasiviy Mister Rocester iz vsex!!!!!!
GEEZE, LV...I can't get enough of THIS video! What a tribute you to our man! ¬ Thanks ¬ Janet
Thank you for this video....I LOOOOOVE TIMOTHY DALTON!!!! Greetings from Buenos Aires
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you liked it. What are your favourite TD films?
@@LadyViolet7 I knew TD recently...through the videos...Ive seen The kings whore and I love it...and in watching every piece of Jane Eyre with him...even in japanese...even in english i dont understand well...you are very kind to answer my words..best regards
Thanks for the answer! Yep, back again and now to work! I need to find a written TD interview for you and put URL here. In it, TD saw TLIW in NYC premiere. He was so bowled over by Mr. Barry's score that he couldn't breathe. He staggered out of the theatre, found a lamp post and leant it against for air. Someone, slung their arm around his shoulder and said, "Want to go for a drink?" It was John Barry. TD did a tribute to Mr. Barry on his 70th. Thank you again! :-) ¬ Janet
It's the role Dr Rock from "The Doctor and the Devils". Thanks for watching!
@cheekygirl8 Thanks, Chica! I agree, he's in a class of his own - in talent, looks and charisma.
@Khitra Thank you for your comment, Eva! I really appreciate your opinion. I thought it was high time that someone finally made a video about Tim's historic roles, since he always shines in them - even if the films are not that great.
The Spanish movie in which he plays San Juan de Dios is called "El hombre que supo amar" (English title: "The Man Who Knew Love").
Sadly, it's only available in Spanish, although it was filmed in English. But his performance in this movie was really intense!
Dalton .superstar!!! I .Love .you!!!Thank you!!!!
he's aged really well, too! Look at Lazenby!
Except for King Philip II of France & King Vittorio, would you believe I've never seen Timothy as any of the others. Sorry, I'm just answering you from June 2011. As you see, I haven't been here for awhile. If I begin watching TD videos, I never get work done. Your's are extraordinary! I just shared this one with Facebook! Thank you for the honours you give him~ Janet Thompson Deaver
I remember him as sparrow hawk in tales from earthsea, man was that an awesome movie, and he was awesome in it!
Happy Birthday Timothy Dalton!
That's a clip from "The Lion in Winter", Timothy Dalton's first film.
@miapatagonia Thank you for your comment! It's always nice to meet other fans of Timothy Dalton!
@Pfeiferfox Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! I'm glad you enjoyed my video!
Слов нет вы очень талантливый актёр 💔
Thank you so much for your kind words, Janet!
Wonderful Job, I love it! Some real rare clips - great work! There is even one role I did not know - San Juan de Dios. Which movie is this, what's its title?
More of them all, please!!!
¡qué maravilla!
@tdltn08 Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I too could listen to this music all day...
I would put him up there with Olivier and Brando.
He's certainly a better kisser.
As usual, I can't get away from this particular video. I pray he sees this. It's the best way to share his birthday, 21st March, 2013. He will always be 39+. 21st March 1945 until today year, 2013. He'll never age! Love to you how honours him greatly! ¬ Janet Thompson Deaver
1946
@Morgana888 Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed my video. :) Could you tell me which roles you don't know? Just name the clips (0:00) and I will tell you which role it was. I've just written all the roles down in order of appearance, but the list is much too long to write it all down in one comment.
❤
Where did you get this song??!! I love it, and this awesome video. Timothy Dalton is definitely one of my favorite actors. Can you get this song on iTunes? I can't seem to find it!
@Rockstarkong Thanks for your comment! I absolutely agree with you, it's a shame how he's still being overlooked nowadays!
I wonder why Tim wasn't in the far pavilions or jewel in the crown? Ben Cross was fine...wonder how Tim would have played that part.🤔
Jewel in the crown... the part would have been the evil army guy who seduces the good army girl. Or maybe the Russian.
Timothy Dalton best actor on the planet. If I could see you act in person on a movie, tv set, or in theatre...ahhh. Inside the actor's studio loooong interview??? So much to learn from you!
@Khitra I meant roles like Col. Christie in "Agatha", f.e. I wasn't fond of that movie, but I think his performance was great. And "The Doctor and the Devils" wasn't a bad movie, but I think it could have been better. Tim had, despite of the importance of his role, far too little screen time and there was much time spent on showing how drunk Fallon and Broom were and so on. Just not important for the main plot.
And it is an advantage for EVERY movie to have more Tim in it, don't you agree?
He did a lot of good acting in stinkers.
Hi Janet!
Come by as often as you like! You`re always welcome!:) No, the music is not from John Barry's amazing TLIW score, it's "Here Comes The King" (instrumental & choir version) by X-Ray Dog. By the way, I admire John Barry's oeuvre! So many magnificent scores! Mary, Queen of Scots, The Lion in Winter and The Living Daylights are naturally part of my soundtrack collection. I also have Somewhere in Time, Dances with Wolves and The Scarlett Letter.
Regards,
Corinna
@andra510 Thank you, dear! I'm very glad you liked it!
And I know exactly what you mean... I listened to this song a million times while I was making this video and I have often heard it before - but I still love it! And I thought its majestic and forceful tone would be just perfect for the epic and extremely masculine theme of my vid.
That is a scene from "The Doctor and the Devils".
Can't leave without coming here again and again and again...;-) Is this John Barry's score from THE LION IN WINTER? He and TD were good friends. He scored MARY, QUEEN OF SCOTS AND THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS too. Thanks again! I'll look for your answer. ¬ Janet
@Dancingforgetmenot Thank you very much!
@ewanmacgregor Thanks! Glad you liked it!
@weeknightingale
Thank you, Karolyn!
@WatchMyAwesomeVideos Yes, I could do that. Do you know the play and is there a scene you would prefer to watch? Or would you be happy with any clip?
It's 9 October 2017. On the 30th, Timothy will celebrate his 49th year on screen in THE LION IN WINTER. Do you have enough time for a trailer?
How wonderful...your timing, TD but I'm still attempting to remember each role. Help? ~ Janet Thompson Deaver
@Khitra Of course he was great in all these films. That's exactly what I said! And I love all the films you named! But you must admit that Cleopatra got really lame after Caesar had died. He gave the movie a quality it wouldn't have had without him.
I want to ask from what film is the trailer shown from 0:47 until 0:50 thanks
That's the Film " Lion in Winter"
@Serece86 Thank you very much! How kind of you! *blushing*
@LadyViolet7
Of course I agree. Fully. From my heart. :o) No doubt of that!
@LadyViolet7
Not that good? Are you kidding? *g* "King's Whore" will be my all-time favourite movie with him, I ADORE him as Vittorio... He was great as Cäsar, and "the Lion in Winter" is also a very... special movie *g*
He's simply the Best. And he's getting even better, still.... the older he gets. And more handsome, as Chica said :o)
Film🎉
Why.does it not.show Wuthering.Heigjts
movie at 0:42?
+LadyViolet7 thanks :)
Um excuuuuse me but no Heathcliff???
James Bond when on his disguise... 😂😂😂
@LadyViolet7
Well... err... I not only must admit that, I have to confess that I never saw the rest of the movie *g* I just am not interested in the story with him missing. He was the sun, the centre of it, with anything and everyone circling around.
To be honest, there are much too many movies in which he has to die for my liking...
