I just read something where Mariska was asked in one of her latest interviews if she had anything to say to the E/O shippers and she said no that she was tired of being asked she wants them to ship female empowerment and fierce female friendships etc. well maybe if they had given viewers what they shipped for so long they would stop asking you can be a fierce independent female and still have someone in yout life like a husband or boyfriend and really we are allowed to ship what we want she was just as responsible as anyone for creating this frenzy last year she was citing her hashtags about love wins love is real does she think we just all forget about things they said or did to get fans excited sometimes i think they made Olivia Benson too tough i liked her better in the earlier years sometimes you can be too fierce but everyone needs someone else sometimes. Even Ice T wants E/O together seriously stop disrespecting the fans feelings were entittled to them!!!
It was said she answered like that because it was during a sensitive event about domestic violence so I think she was upset it was even asked. Fans got really angry at the magazine for going there. She’s all over the board w her answers especially w this season being short from the strike. I personally think she still knows their endgame she just can’t come right out and say it.
I understand that she wants people to be educated on sexual violence and that her show deals with that subject matter but it is still after all a TV show which people watch to be entertained and putting some personal aspects in like romance just makes it more appealing sometimes and sometimes you just want something to break up the seriousness sometimes you just want a break from the ugly sometimes if that's all you want just watch the news 24/7 that's why I think OC was better than SVU this season they still put personal subject in there as well as a little comedic relief. Just my own opinion
