Totally out of this World space out awesomeness. I used to read Rom comics back in the 1980's. Thanks for sharing Brother 😀 👍 ♥️ 🇬🇧🇨🇦🇺🇸🌎🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉💯💯💯💯💯
Thanks Matt 🙏 Still don't trust ROMs analyser 😀 Yeah it's a great toy from the past, keep an eye out as they do appear, and if you you're good, who knows Santa might have a surprise LOL
Remember a lad a infant school had a ROM. The days when you brought toys in on the last day of term. I brought my Big Track in And he brought his ROM and they battled each other. I can see how this fella inspired you Dave Absolutely awesome stuff. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Last day of term, that brings back memories😀 Now that's a battle - Big Track vs ROM, of course ROM would win with his aerial superiority 😂 Thanks Tez 🙏
Randomly came across this video today. Thanks for sharing this! As an avid Action Man fan back in the day I would have loved this, although I have no memory of it! I was 9 in 1980 and growing up in the Midlands, UK. I don't remember any friends having this either. Maybe it was just too expensive for working class families to buy for their children. You can see here that the Action Man marketing team were desperately trying to bring Action Man into the 80s and a bit more Sci-Fi as we all became fixated on Star Wars etc.
Hi, thanks for stopping by. Yeah, I don't think ROM sold in large quantities back in the day. It was all part of the Space Rangers line, and as you say they were trying to ride the Sci-Fi craze. It wasn't much later when Action Man shrunk into Action Force 3.75 figures. Still, I think ROM is a great toy and I know I would have loved it as a kid.
Catching up on videos. Wow. This ROM is amazing. It’s absolutely one of the grail pieces on my list. Love that box and packaging also. Thanx for showing him off. Great video.
The intruder looks like a 90’s wrestling figure! Great video Dave, I’ve never seen ROM before so you’ve shown me something new today 👍, enjoyed it as always mate 👍
Wow what a toy! Not something I am familiar with at all but appreciate it! The lights and sounds haha I wonder how many left in the wild actually still work!
Well his look is similar to actual Cobalt but interesting there was a language called that at the time. The mineral is used in batteries so I guess he contains come Cobalt. ;) I wish I had an Ethics Gauge lol. I definitely envy the era of large action figures like ROM since you could put a lot of neat stuff inside them, I think it was close to 40 years before that kind of stuff could be made cheaper and in smaller figures.
Yeah, I love this figure - I'm a software programmer by trade so really appreciate what they were trying to do all that time ago, and even though it can all be miniaturised these days, I like the charm of the electronics back then.
Always been a fan of the comic book

That's so cool!! I'm gonna have to find some of those comics 👍
Well we knew you are good Dave. Brilliant video. One toy I would really want even more now.

This box is so much better than the American Parker Brothers version.
I would have to agree :) Palitoy's Action Man box art is right up there - some of the painted artwork is amazing - thanks for watching 🙏

Very 70s :) Love all this stuff, perhaps I should of worn some clothing and thick-rimmed glasses from back then as well !!
