There ya go. Yeah you can just use power chords or barre chords and flatten each one by one note. So G barre chord would become G flat and then you don't have to adjust tuning.

Hi Laura, great strumming , well explained!!!! I am 66 and slightly above a beginner. Doin real good on accents but I can't get Em, C, B, Am strum fast. I keep on practicing from those 8th notes slowly but can't get strumming fast even close to you, any suggestions? Thanks
Are you practicing for speed? Or are you practicing so that your cords always sound good? If you want to push speed you have to use a metronome and sacrifice a little bit of clarity in the short term.
This sounds great, I’ve been playing a much more basic version. I’d like to work on the strumming and pattern you use here. Is there something I can use instead of the B? I still can’t play that one.

My tuner doesn't show flat so unclear how to tune it effectively. Regular tuning sounded horrid, as you mentioned it may. Still enjoyed lesson and understand strumming. Hope all Guns n roses songs don't have that tuning!!
@@LaurenBateman Capo at first fret, tune to standard, remove capo! Also, as others have stated, this is a great intermediate level. Because, let's face it, I'm never pulling it off like those 12 year olds did...

Can a capo be applied???
Beth, some there don't. Better quality tuners will show the flat.
You can use a capo, but it will bring the pitches up, not down.
