Such a great song. I remember I was 17 and was 😮 when I first heard this on the radio on the old San Francisco rock station.I’m 56 now and still love this song.
и Script For A Jester*s Tear 1983года. Мы тогда были молоды и счастливы ,радовались от прекрасной музыки и это на всю жизнь.Как стремительно прошли года и мы уже не молоды,но радуемся прекрасной музыке.
Such a great song with such a heartfelt performance by Fish; still makes me stop and just listen every time I hear it. Great that these old videos have been uploaded 😀😀
An absolute beauty, one of the best songs in Marillion's career. Fish's singing here, with vocal level transitions through the song is amazing. This studio version presents probably his best performance. Also love how 'h' brings this diamond song to the audience with his emotions during the live shows, making Sugar Mice the all-time favourite Marillion song for all era fans.
My favourite song of the Fish era and as an "album" man, I never realised it had been released as a single. It may not have been a big hit but in a way this video shows all that was wrong with the band at the time. It reinforces my thoughts then, and they have been confirmed from various sources in the interim that by this stage, the band were basically being portrayed as Fish's backing band.
I thought the problem at the time was more particularly that Fish's lyrics and Fish himself were wearing an 'I'm a burned-out rock star, I might die at any time' image that was tiresome for the rest of the band and which didn't come true, but which caused Fish to separate himself from the others and retreat into a dark mood.
@@thefamilysilver9762 Fish just wanted a bigger slice of the pie if truth be told. Both Mark and Ian's books are quite revealing in that, particularly Mark's. If you haven't read it I thoroughly recommend it, Ian's is great to see who he's worked through the years as well. Mark's is far more "intimate".
This is not my opinion, it is MI6's definition. In the 80s, I was the head of the MI6 team that tracked the Genesis clones in the country. When Hogarth joined the group, Margaret called me and said, "Your mission is over." She dispersed our forces. However, our successes attracted the attention of the Americans and they offered me to be the founder of a new mission called X-Files. Then I started my duty in the CIA basement in America. I can speak so openly because the documents related to the subjects have been declassified. You can research it yourself.
We are so lucky that this fantastic band has stayed with us for so long and to have had 2 brilliant frontmen on vocals..best band ever.

@@FelixOne1 Same here now 58, time flies by. I am glad I could see 3 concerts of Fish last November on his farewell tour in Europe.
Many years have passed, and Sugar Mice still gets me teary eyed.
One of the greatest bands (Fish era) to have ever existed IMO . Derek was a lyrical genius .
Jest :) Niedawno byliśmy na koncercie w Gdańsku :) Niestety na ostatniej trasie koncertowej w jego wspaniałej karierze :(
Agreed!!!
Hogarth era great as well

Absolutely beautiful, and epic, song. I loved this as a kid. Now love it even more as a middle aged man.
2:05 Mark Kelly behind the bar all fluffed up to look heavy set lol! I love this classic♥
Classic song, guitar solo, lyrics, classic Marillion cheers.
One of my favorite fish era songs.
The cover Fleesh do is excellent
The digital picture frame way ahead of it's time lol. ♥
The best video of Fish era
Great song and one of Marillion's best videos.
What a song! These lyrics are like poetry.

My favourite Fish performance. Rothery just soars too.
Masterpiece and timeless classic
Not even one of my favourite singles from that album but it's still an absolute beauty. Thanks for showing.
So many memories... ❤

Last song played in lille 23 was there fantastic
❤
❤ gratidão 🙏
It's like Fish saw how my own life would turn out 😔
Is this a song to his ex - or a song to the other band members ? !
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🎸🎸🎸🎸
R Nice fake video 👍
Não gosto do Fish
E eu não gosto de vc!!
The Fish era was like an aggressive Genesis clone. Hogarth made Marillion an original and powerful band, giving Marillion character and soul.
There you go again...
