I love how you point out what mistake your opponents are doing every time you get a kill, because it really shows why it looks so easy when a higher level player smurfs on lower levels. Only 7 games into the video, curious what the common mistakes are at the higher levels. Great video!

My Tracer has been 100% improving since watching this series. I learned so much about positioning and getting away safely, when to back off etc. Great stuff!

I'm still working my way through this video, but I have to say that the games you played while in Masters 5 had some of the craziest tracer mechanical gameplay I've ever seen.
I'm a gold support. Watching you play in gold against gold enemies makes me realise how amazing my teammates are dangg, especially my dps, cause it looks a lot less impressive when I'm healing them from the backlines 😂
its so insane he makes plays and constantly rapping what he is doing rn. when im mid fight sometimes i brain fart and when i call out a hero i forget his name :')

Lately I've been struggling with an entire team counter swapping me after the first fight, team kill. I know there's no such thing as counter swap if you're good, but trying to improve is really difficult. When i say the entire team, i genuinely mean every single game, im dealing with a dva that won't lay off, hanzo, cassidy or maybe a torb cassidy, moira and a brig. Its beginning to make me think tracer is unplayable cuz i struggle to get any value more than half the time. :/ This was the most recent unranked to gm series i could find, but it seems exceedingly more difficult recently running around with the hp of a common house fly and all the characters with one shot potential. Ashe included. I can't get close, it's difficult to peel and im not sure how to work my way around this without switching which makes me lose interest in OW entirely.
Think you should set smaller goals for your development instead of having a "all or nothing approach". Tell yourself next game I will focus on not dying to oneshot, and then work on it a few games and you might see instant improvement, do this with various factors and then 100% you will at the end be way better than when you started.
Tracer question: How do you maintain good uptime without blowing your recall early and not having it when you need it, same blink wise. I’m not sure where but a coaching video said that the person has been sitting for 15 seconds not using any cool-downs therefore decreasing uptime. I understand it may be a timing thing but even then it’s hard to exactly time it right.
yeah if you are very new to the game I'd recommend learning how to use your abilities almost off cooldown and doing alot, then figure out when they do well and not. After that just practice using the cooldowns when they clearly are more effecient instead of when they fail. Uptime just means how often you do something like shoot, you your cooldown etc. The idea of having high uptime is to spam cooldowns and perma shoot to get high value, but you still need to do it effeciently otherwhise its not gonna get kills/win games.
Think about how you will escape when you engage. Is there a health pack near you that you can get? Is it in direct LOS of your support? Is there a cover you can escape to? Think of these things when you engage.
I played against Hydron’s tracer once, an old OWL player. It’s crazy just HOW MUCH better they are than everyone else. Nothing to do but laugh when you’re getting rolled so hard haha
And way less deaths, one thing I noticed as well is his pulse bomb usage he barely uses it but awkward says use it as often as u can because it’s very easy to build another one
He's very different than Awkward. Hes also going went to top 500, not GM 5. I've learned more from Melio about Tracer in particular than awkward, who focuses on fundamentals. I love awkward but this is an apples to oranges comparison.

I just had a game where I was getting chased by one dps and one support in the backline(quite far away from the point), but my team couldn't get through.. what do I even do at that point? It is easy when you have the actual ability to utilize a hero at top500 level, but for us mortals, a lot of these things doesn't work in reality. Practice makes perfect I guess, but not everyone has the time to practice that many hours, so at the end of the day; Just try to have fun and enjoy the game. (Please stop flaming each other, it doesn't do any good. Focus on your own play and try to find a way to use the situation at hand!) Good video!
@hddt-u5m if you watch he’s blinking when they look at him, and using cover to isolate 1v1s. He’s also waiting for his team to take Argo so that he doesn’t take so much poke. Instead of shooting first, make sure their not looking directly at you, make them move their crosshair then you’re free to shoot. Watch how he fights any cass in this video and you’ll understand. He also knows how much dmg each character does, like if fighting a Moira who doesn’t have burst he focuses less on movement and more on lining up his crosshair and mirroring the movement so he can hit more shots vs an Ashe he’ll blink behind them or 150 degrees so it’s an awkward angle to flick too. If you can’t do that either up your sens, practice more or pick a different character like soldier, reaper, mei or torb.
