@@Odumaseon top of what lenuxluditte said you can only hage a pod going down one direction in a tube at a time so you have to stack pods on top of each other or make a fatter tube which would be harder to pressurize and depressurize. There are also a multitude of emergency scenarios that don’t have answers to them. What if there is a pod breach? In an airliner, masks drop. That’s fine until you get to about 60 000 feet where your blood starts to boil due to the lack of pressure. Airliners typically fly between 30000 and 40 000 feet. These pods will be in near vacuums so an oxygen mask won’t cut it. The passengers would need to wear full pressure suits to survive a depressurization. What if the tube ruptures? There are so many ways this could happen. What if a pod breaks down, or gets stuck? A lot of things can go wrong and there doesn’t seem to be answers to those issues.
Why build a hyper loop when we can build a Maglev that can carry 1500 passengers and 25000 tons of shipping containers Freight at the same time. And why bother with expensive linear induction engines, you can use basic electro dynamic levitation only with traditional trust and breaking system's!
