It's hard, but it's actually easy compared to a typical Metalcore guitar solo.
I used to be a Bass player when I was 9. I never had picks lying around then I got into shredding and filing my nails a certain way. It feels super natural cause I can feel all the strings... But I wouldn't recommend it.

I used to be a Bass player and I just got used to playing without one. It's a pretty weird and dumb habit. I do get pretty good speed with it though.
I play the scale run differently I start with the 18th fret on the 4th string aka the C string 18-14-16-18
I don’t think you have to drop the tuning if you don’t ever have to play an open string and if you just want to do the solo. I just did whatever you did but two frets higher lol.
I use my nail and file it into a shreddy shape. It's weird but it works for me.
great lesson, although padge (BFMV guitarist) plays a different lick to the ascending one in section one, but its the same just on different strings haha. Do Hate Crew Deathroll by Children of Bodom, Its got some nice sweeps in there and some decent tapping and whammy bar abuse, so itd be pretty interesting
Only for speed tapping. John 5 and Satch have some songs with really fast taps in it that I've used my ring to get the sound.
I learn all these solos by ear. No tabs. I'm making some though.
Pls tell me how to get that tone on electric guitar using amplifier or I have to use virtual plug ins ?

Lucky you, you'll be able to perform that in your college. Our university does not permit songs that have the word "demon" in them.
Aldous Abad Sounds like a stupid, retarded, superstitious university. I wouldn't doubt that your university is religious-based.
My bad. It was actually my high school who wouldn't permit it. I just entered university and apparently it accepts stuff like this. And yes, my high school was based on religion.
Aldous Abad Man, that's harsh. In my opinion music is music and it's all great. Not to offend anyone but this is why I hate religion, it just seems to try and dominate people's lives. Least your at university now bro, hope you get on well there.
BenTheMetalStrummer Exactly. They don't even care about the message of the song. I forgot to mention above that we were supposed to play this in a "Stop Bullying" event and this song just fits perfectly. Anyway, I'm an atheist but I respect religion, it's just the extremely superstitious fanbase that sucks. Actually, It feels good to be free here at university. I no longer get evil looks from authority when I wear a shirt with a pentacle on it.
