That's what I do. On the racer boost reset day, I get to do it twice. I live in Spain so the reset time is around 11am, so that's a good thing, but sometimes I can't log in in the morning so I do it in the afternoon and it's messed up. So when that happens, I can't play it twice on the reset day. It's a good thing if you have the game on your phone so you don't miss it
I refuse to grind ranked. I will take my racers to MPR 13 and that's it 😅 it just takes too much time and sucks the fun out of it for me if I go further in.
I bought the golden pass I started towards the end of season 7 so I didn't get the golden pass but I didn't with season 8 and I have to re buy it for part 2 !?!? Part 2 should be included when I buy it in part 1? Another 20$ wtf.....
Here in Sweden the reset is 11 AM so it's easy to abuse the system for more upgrade coins and racer shards. Guess that's the one thing that moving to Japan will be a hindrance to.
Why the give us season tokens for character and crew and put not a little bit coins for the upgrade in the box? I want to bring Barbossa to Level 45 but I can't do this. Because I have no money for that. But the time of events run and I can not take every mission 😅 Sorry for my bad English I normally speak German 😂
Do the vault passes with the repeatable 500 coins at the end constantly ramp up how many points are needed to claim it again or is it similar to the Frozen season? I was considering getting one just to farm upgrade coins, but if it's going to constantly increase, I think I'll pass.
It’s actually a lot worse than that, you can only do each tournament with each character once per difficulty. Once you finish that tournament it is mark as complete and re-doing it will grant 0 rewards, so the final 500 coins are pretty much a decoration, unless you buy the Vault Pass + Tier Skip which I would hardly recommend not to do so
As current F2p I would highly suggest that when you pick for racer boost, you pick characters that are mid season, and very hard to get shards for, regardless of upgrade coin earnings. They almost never offer their shards and having that high level figment, ortensia, etc. for events that pop up are the difference between not being able to participate in certain event races at all. Yes it is slightly less upgrade coins, but when you need a lvl 25 ortensia, and you have a lvl 22, that's when it shows. As well, you cannot get mid teir racer shards from the universal box.
Gameloft is doing this the wrong way, shards should be rarer than upgrade coins (but still less rarer than upgrade coins currently are) Let's hope the upgrade coins they will add instead of season boxes are in the thousands, otherwise it could be the final straw for me...
Seems like more of a business move. People are more likely to buy upgrade coins being that they are universal for all racers instead of shards which are specific. You can be stacked up on shards but lack coins. Then people start thinking about making that purchase to close gaps. Especially to progress in content.

I have to disagree with the way you devalue the racer shards in the Racer Boost. While it is true that racer shards are common, the ability to select specific racer shards is very very rare!! In another video you complain about the lack of Oswald shards, yet the Racer Boost can give you 2+ Oswald shards per week for the low price of a few Generic upgrade coins!
Don't forget the ''It all started with a mouse'' Event, if you don't max Mickey Mouse, you can get 150 upgrade coins and Mickey shards.
This is the only reason my Mickey isn't maxed out yet. Easy Upgrade Shards
