Splendid performance. As an American I do not let myself be bound to only what is popular within my own borders. UA-cam is my only window to music from around the world. This is my absolute favorite among many different renditions of Mardjandja, some with two guitars, others with orchestras, guitars, and balalaikas. He employs a multitude of different picking and strumming techniques to fully utilize all the potential of the balalaika. I truly appreciate a maestro who can take such a simple instrument and make it do anything he wants from it. It is almost unbelievable what he can get out of only three little strings.
@@RyuuHatake sometimes technique can prevent injury, if you hold your hand at an awkward angle while playing it can increase your risk of carpal tunnel and RSI.
@@eve_squared Thats a valid point. Technique, however, is a developed work standard so that professional musicians can produce repeatable results in performances. It may not be the best way to play the instrument, but it is the one that most people trained on it will be able to execute effectively
@@RyuuHatake the reason I say this is because I fell victim to some joint problem. I had to stop playing guitar and violin a few months ago after having played for several years. If I could go back I would have prevented this as it's one of the few things that brought me joy.

And I use the video to know which balalaika technique I should use. The three last variations, after the key signature change, are not on this score. I don't know if it's a composition from Alexander Paperny.
In hard moments for my brain (psycho), when i have no hope for life, i wanna die, i can't find argue for my life and don't kill myself. I listen this music and i can take some breath, i fall asleep and cry during that song. Unfortunately this is loop, sometime i think i shouldn't back here and end this what is nosense (you know what im think i should do), sorry you guys have to read that but i fell better and maybe more "confident", when i write that.
