Now I know what to do with the oodles of remnants from my silk sari fabric. Bangles to match my clothes...I am so doing this! Hugs and much love to my fave crafty guru!
I have seen lots of video tutorials for this kind of bracelet but never made them because I was never happy with how the bases were made. Cable Ties....who knew 👍👏. Strong, flexible, cheap and can be made to any size!! I came to your page after watching StitchesByJulia, she has been a long time favourite of mine for sewing projects. I have now subscribed to your channel and look forward to catching up on the rest of your videos. Many thanks X
Fantastic. Perfect project for a group of young girl scouts to make. Think I could even get the boy scouts making these as gifts for their moms and sisters. Thank you. Now I just have to get some zip ties and we are good to go.
Acccck, I've been using wire to do this!! Who thought of zip ties?? And I must have them laying in junk drawers all over the house. Thank you Mark. You're a oner!
Trudy Murray Yup, it was my discovery a few years ago and I finally shared it with the world! *Just a reminder to make sure to click the GEAR next to the SUBSCRIBED button on my page and then click SEND ME UPDATES so you'll know when I post new videos on UA-cam. OMGOSH 😊! THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL & I LOVE THEM 💝💙💛💜💚!!! MY DAUGHTER'S & I ALL LOVE ANYTHING BOHO!!!! I HAVE SMALL WRIST SO NOW I CAN MAKE THESE TO FIT 😊💝!!! CAN'T WAIT TO START ON THESE! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING 😊!!!
Oh this is great! To be very honest, I've found some of your videos recently a little too dependent on specific products, which is fantastic for exposure knowledge range and I have no doubt that many people have gone on to purchase and create beautiful things because of you, but it's really good to see projects that are more accessible to a wider group. This is why I subscribed to you, simple things being used in ways that even make us veteran crafters facepalm with how great they are. Thankyou handsome!
Hi Susan, Thanks for the comment. I get what you're saying. We all have our favorite products and I only use the best brands of everything for my projects to insure success. If I only use one glue, paint, scissor, mold or clay, it's because they work and it's what I buy.
***** Absolutely and I entirely agree with you, for projects such as the lucite table there's no choice but to use a specialist product (versus something hanging around the house) and you can tell from the results that you're using a quality product. Please don't misunderstand me, I wasn't trying to imply that you were selling out or something, it's great that you're making these things accessible and not nearly as intimidating as they may seem. I'm sorry if I offended you.
Mark... this is wonderful... I have large hands and wrists and I'm always sad when I see those cute, colorful bangles in the store and I can't get them over my hand... Now, YOU have solved that problem! I'll be making several of these... Thanks!
This is awesome! I was watching Kings of the Sun the other day and loved their jewelry so much that I started searching ebay for some. Now I can make my own using similar colors. Thanks Mark!
I found you years ago you are so talented and easy to learn from. Thanks for all you do. I have your first 4 books I’d love to show you some things I’ve done just from watch8mg you
Okay you are now officially MY Mark! I will be making my mark with my granddaughter this afternoon. Love this project and best of all she will too. Thanks so much...Bobbie
Love the zip tie idea. Im going to use empty soda bottles as i have those everywhere and want to recycle but i am definitely going to give the zip ties a go too.bonus also i have been gifted litterally boxes and boxes of broken costume jewelry so the stones will be coming in very handy.great tute thankyou
A few years ago, I needed a couple of zip ties but couldn't find them in small quantities, just these huge packages. Now I know what to do with all those extra zip ties!! You're awesome, Mark!
Hey Mark I have a bunch of seed beads left over from my jewelry making days, to expensive now a days, however I've started making plastic bottle bracelets and this will be great to use them up. Thanks again love ya blessings.
Love this project and can't wait for my daughter to get home from visiting grandma to do it with her. When she was about 3 (she's now 7) we did a variation of this where we wrapped ribbon around the shower curtain holders because of course she was too small for much of anything else then.
So easy to make and a great way to get rid of all of those scraps and mismatched beads. We have another bracelet video coming soon! Just a reminder, to get my video updates on UA-cam you need to click on the small gear next to the SUBSCRIBE button on my page and then click GET UPDATES.....Otherwise, UA-cam might not let you know I have something new up. How do I not have zip ties in my stash? I'm going to have to go get some now! Thanks for feeding my craft supply hoarder addiction Mark, great project!
I love it when a craft uses product we already have. Even if you didn't have the fabric, you could use decorative duct tape. And you could use floral wire (green or copper) from Dollar Tree. Biggest thing - you can match your own clothing!. Dee
I think I just found the bridesmaids and flower girl gifts for my son/future daughter-in-law's relaxed outdoor wedding next year! I can make them all up in shades of purples and greens to match her wedding and try to find a few lilly beads to match her flowers and even make some pretty dangle earring to match! And I will be able to fit each girl individually... Awesome!!! First though, I want to make some Summer bangles for myself! ;)
Hope this isn't crossing any lines, but when I was having trouble with the zip tie popping out of the tape, I found smearing a little e-6000 between the zip ties before taping added a lot of stability. Wanted to share in case I wasn't the only one! Love the tutorial, I made one for a friend already!
Dear Mark, absolutely love the project!! By the way, I want to say that you are not only famous, but also very humble and friendly man. I am very enjoy your books. God loves you😍
now that is a true artist
you create beautiful things from just about anything..............anything
You're so kind Poornima! Big hugs from LA!
