I made these with my daughter about five years ago. A craft company had given me reams of beige ribbon made out of recycled fabric. I didn’t like the color, so we hand dyed the ribbon. Left it to dry in the trees with the sun setting, beautiful. Pretty sure I took pictures.
The next day we made zip tie bracelets. So much fun. Great way to use up leftover beads from other projects. I still wear my bracelets. It’s very me.
I also turn the inner core of tapes into bracelets pretty regularly. The cores come in different widths. The tape bracelets and zip tie bracelets pair well together.
If you are already into making jewelry there’s a good chance you have everything you need to make these already. I changed the join because I didn’t like the crinkle sound the tape makes. I use E-6000 and a thread wrap. I use close pins to hold the zip tie in a circle while the glue sets up. This method requires waiting for the E-6000 to cure before you can wrap the bracelet.

My grandfather was a painter and sculpture. All of my Peruvian relatives are amazing artists. I ended up with the funky art style. I am kind of all over the place. I love design and decorating. 😊

After reading the comments, this would also be fun to make in place of paper garlands. On a tree, adorned over a doorway, outside on one of your feather trees, or on your walls.
I found some adhesive clips on Amazon that hold 13 lbs max. They can be stuck on the ceiling or wall. They have two hanging positions, depending on where you stick them.

I have so many leftovers from my other crafts, this is a great way to use up my beads, fabric, satin cord, etc that isn't really enough for my other projects, or those "lone" beads that don't seem to go with anything else. I like playing with texture and color combinations so I know I'm going to enjoy this. Thanks again!

I would wait to tie on the string and use that to cover the ends of the wire for more protection. You could even add a little hot glue to secure the wire for safety.

I was obsessed with making these the first time around! I made stacks of them with surplus fabrics and seed beads left over from Bead weaving projects. I Love the updated version too :) 💗
I tried to add a new little accent to the project and I really loved the waxed cord part to jazz them up a bit!
