It is really a good chance Andrew at least to say thank you for your hard work..... and this thank is coming from the heart of South Sudanese who have been seriously following your Videos.
Editing is a fantastic way to remove ums, ers, mistakes and pauses. It makes the video seem much more professional, as well as being easier to follow and less disjointed.
Conceptually, great video. However, during the portion where you explain deflection of positive and negative EEG waves, you have reversed the direction of the waves. Positive waves deflect with vertex down and negative waves deflect upward. It is easily explained by the rules of localization. When you discuss electrode derivations, you're referring to one pair of electrodes or two individual electrodes. If in that pair, Input 1 is more negative or less positive than Input 2, The deflection of the way form will be upward. If in a bipolar montage, the electrode in Input 2 measures the same potential as the first input in the next channel, then the deflections in each of those channels will be opposite each other thus resulting in a phase reversal. Otherwise, kudos!
helpful explanation sir, but what i learnt abut the eeg wave that we record is not the action potential of single electrode but its the potential difference between two electrodes placed on scalp. as there are two electrodes connected for each channel which are referred as active and referential electrodes so it is the potential difference between these two electrode is what we record in graph as negative or positive deflection. correct me if i am wrong.thanks.
Very good Video....I am doing my master thesis on machine learning to classify seizure disorder..So the video was really helpful to me the way you taught the concepts..Would expect more videos on Seizure prediction....Thank you so much
So say in Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome or another refractory epilepsy, you undergo a corpus callosotomy. The goal would then be to stop secondary generalized seizures from travelling across the corpus callosum?
Hi Andrew, I am desperately looking for a second opinion on an interpretation of an EEG scan result. Is this something you could do, or do you know of someone that could do it quite urgently?
Very good lesson :) I have a question for my own couriosity: is it possible to transpose brainwaves into sound waves? I mean that to listen brainwaves. And if it is, or it was already done, may you give me some useful links? Thank you!
This video was very helpful to me as a parent of a child with epilepsy. Thank you for making this video.

You’re welcome. Glad you found it helpful!
Easy to understand under your explanation! Thanks a lot, Andrew!
You’re welcome. Glad you found it helpful!
Thank you. You explained better than my dr. I've just had 6 in the past 4 days. Bitten my cheek, tongue and, swollen mouth
Glad it helped. I hope you get well soon Matthew!
Thank you so much. This was very helpful. Wish you digged more into details with the cellular mechanisms.
Thanks for the feedback! We will be rolling out new lessons soon. Keep watching, we appreciate the support!
pathophysiology is my favorite. it's really good you give

Actually, it got a lot better as you got settled into it.
Thank you for the feedback! We will be releasing a new and improved version soon. Thanks for watching.
