Hi Everyone. This time, Retro Relix restores a Radio Shack TRS-80 Color Computer, then plays some of the old games. My favorite was Dinowars, an amazing cartridge game that I'd never heard of. Enjoy :)

One correction - the Coco 1 and 2 ran at 0.895 MHz (close to 1 MHz), not 2 MHz (that was the Coco 3, technically 1.78 Mhz). There are some POKE's that you can speed up ROM access to double speed (POKE 65495,0; POKE 65494,0 resets it to normal speed - which is required for reliable cassette & disk access, as well as timing for baud rates on the RS-232 and the pitch of SOUND and PLAY commands), and even one to speed up both RAM and ROM (POKE 65497,0; POKE 65496,0 to reset to normal), although the latter is too fast for the SAM and VDG and will result in the screen showing garbage, and dynamic RAM refresh to not always keep up and start corrupting.
Couple of quick things on the games you played - in Skramble, when you are on level 3 (the comets), you still have to bomb the fuel depots, or you will run at and crash (which is what happened to you). In Danger Ranger, you can shoot the Floating Urns (they actually descend in flames), although they respawn from the top once you leave the bottom. But it does by you some time. (side note: Ken Kalish, the author of Danger Ranger and many other Coco 1/2 and Dragon 32/64 games, was from the US, but his last 2 games were UK exclusive - he told me that the UK market was much friendlier to him and the software houses easier to deal with).
You should also be able to upgrade it to 64K RAM, although how complicated that will be will depend on which revision of the motherboard you have.
Great video; I will be mentioning it on our next weekly Coco Nation Show live (here on UA-cam as well as Twitch and Facebook) every Saturday at 2 PM Eastern time.

    New Sub! Dryden, Michigan, US
Never really used a Tandy to my Knowledge, Had access to a Tandy 3 back in the 90's.
Technically it worked, but we didn't have any proper Floppies to do anything with it: Pretty sure my spoiled little cousin just took a Sledge Hammer to it for fun.
