    Your option is the Rolls Royce solution Seadresssa, mixing your own hair with extensions (however some girls aren't blessed with your full hair line, which is a big bonus when passing) However next best solution is to get a real hair wig with a front lace part. (needs a bit of practice and I've seen them on sale for as little as 99$ if you take the time to do the research. if you want a consistent look, one to wear and one to wash is a good concept!). It looks really natural and when outside it doesn't blow back or look "Wiggy". Human hair takes better photographs. (so if your into selfies or are going to get snapped by friends it reflects the light more naturally!) Passing is a whole other subject for Seadressa but getting the right hairline and a the right wig solution are a good foundation to start with, next comes voice in my mind. If you want to tip the scale in your favour it requires a bit of practice and Candiflas youtube videos are the Masterclass! (Husky low voices can work if your pretty but lifting a couple of registers and using inflections will help you get a passing grade!) My own spin on passing is that its a combination of factors that requires tailoring to each person and sometimes an art form that varies depending on the situation, the people your dealing with and your own mental strength. The old adage, you can fool some of the people some of the time etc really rings true!

    • @Seadresa
      @Seadresa  9 років тому +1

      Very good point, I've been very very lucky with my hair =) but thank you so much for all the information about wigs and passing!! =D

    • @monicaxireland
      @monicaxireland 9 років тому

      Your very welcome. Another simple way to get a whole new look (without sacrifice or a lot of money!) is to buy a clip in fringe. It's amazing the difference it can make! (Especially if you get a hairdresser to trim and blend it slightly) If your hairline does to start to recede slightly at the temples (It's worth taking a look at Dads, Brothers or Grandads for the key warning signs!) Very few natal women have receding hairlines at the temples and it is a major giveaway, especially on a windy day! (Have you tried Candiflas Voice exercises?)

    • @Seadresa
      @Seadresa  9 років тому +1

      Oooooh, that's a VERY good point!!! Maybe I might have to try a fringe one day... that would be super cute =) Thank you so much for the wonderful hair advice! =D
      And I have tried some of her voice exercises, a few years ago now - but I think it's such a cool way to try and achieve the feminine voice =)

    In my experience so far with wigs and extensions ive found that your natural hair is always a better option from the perspective of a transfemale. like you said they can hurt your head after awhile. and atleast from someone of african descent it is better for your hair in the long run

    • @Seadresa
      @Seadresa  10 років тому

      Oh I totally agree, if you're a transfemale, going natural hair and growing it out would probably be the best thing to do I'd say! =D

  • @jealousofmypuddin
    @jealousofmypuddin 10 років тому +1

    If wigs are where one would like to start, there are def some nicer synthetic ones, but IMHO, save your pennies and invest in a human hair wig. Even better, have a proper fitting at a wig shop. Many shops are TG/CD friendly, don't be afraid to inquire.

    how can you like change your voice? I'm gender fluid as well but my voice is super deep so I can't really pass

  • @Jaybird196
    @Jaybird196 8 років тому +1

    Grace, 'Any advice you'd give, on hair, to a person (CD, transwoman, or genderfluid) who's trying to look more feminine, but already has long hair? I ask because so many who are crossdressers,on YT, usually have wigs, and such. I don't :( . I've heard styling one's hair can help, in addition to makeup, with diminishing male-looking features, but I'm kinda new to actively trying this (blush) . Thanks.

Yes, you have rights to your opinions, but in societys place, you can't go around commenting on youtube videos saying that people make you projectile vomit allover your screen. That's just assholery. Donald Trump literally does the exact same thing, and uses the exact same excuse.
