This edition is the reason that talking pints has to be extended to at least half an hour! At last a guest who actually enjoyed his drink and could very easily had another! Most entertaining conversation on a level nobody would take offense at but with some very insightful comments! Especially regarding his fellow MP's, the lazy wasters!
I doubt he'd say yes. He associates UKIP with Toryism ("turbo-Thatcherites", he called them in his autobiography) so I can't picture him wanting to be friendly, even if he did appear.
I should have appreciated him more when he was in the house! What a breath of fresh air! Just shows that Farage has a deep hinterland of people from dispirit backgrounds who totally appreciate him for his principles, humour and passion. This pair are kindred spirits. They are exactly what the HOC needs. But Nigel has moved on and his show is unmissable. A genuinely clever and talented bloke.
What a brilliant ‘Pints’ Nigel, can I suggest an Award like Bafta… a Pinta? Stephen Pound must be in with a ‘best of’ chance. Honourable Mention to todays Jim Davidson stint on Talking Pints in Pompey. More power to your elbow Nigel.
@@davidgreenwood5241 Today yes, but the Labour Party used to be patriotic and civilized and full of interesting people with varied backgrounds like this man. It started to change in a globalist direction in the 1980s and went full global with Blair.
Would love to see more like Stephen in politics rather than Politics Graduate with no real life experience in life. This is probably why Labour is a mess.
This program "Talking pints" is quite interesting sometimes, but one thing I have noticed, the people who come on don't drink much, maybe a quick sip here and there. This very interesting and genuine man Steven pound supped his down and finished it while being very articulate and very amusing. I like this man, would love to have a couple of pints with him, unlike most guests!!!
Nigel please do yourself a favour and stop smoking, your rasp is getting worse, I was a 20 day smoker and I managed to kick the habit, we want you around nigel for a long time.
Absolutely brilliant what a great man ....must admit did think I was listening to KRYTEN from red dwarf if you close your eyes lol .... God bless Stephen Pound
The house pf commons is a disgrace. They are discussing the countries future and they sit there laughing and acting like idiots, what an embarassment to the British people !!!
I think he was a Conductor at Riverside Garage, at Hammersmith. Would have worked routes like the 73,Hammersmith to Stoke Newington. You can tell he has worked with Joe Public, knows how to talk to people, shame most MP's don't have people skills like this. they don't make them like him anymore.
What a humorous bloke. I don't remember him in the House of Commons but he made me laugh here with his non-stop self-mocking humour. Congratulations to Nigel F on the choice of guests.
From the time when Labour was a good position party. The path they have been on for like the past 10+ years is so bad that I vote Tory. Labour are far too woke and spend all their time finger-pointing, and then as soon as the Tory question drops. "Ok, what do you suggest" there is that long pause and Labour's reply is along the lines of ".....Hey, it's not about us, it's about you"
What a lovely down to earth man, he made me laugh out loud 👍🇬🇧😘
Stephen Pound is the only bloke to down the pint in one
It's rare to see a Labour mp that is actually Labour, seems to me that Stephen is a man of the people and good for him.
a commy?
Lucky he’s not a Labour MP anymore, I’d be sorely tempted to vote for them. What a witty man.
What a brilliant chat... 2 political outsiders having fun.
It wa great.
Thoroughly enjoyed this...
What a guy...
We need more like him.
I often think Labour are a bad joke but this guy proves the exception to the rule.
He is no longer a Labour MP.
He's no longer an MP plus one swallow doth not a summer make...but a very funny down to earth bloke, nonetheless!!
sharp witted banter, top lad so he is!
Fantastic stuff. Old school British MP. Not many of em left ...
Like a pint does Steve, but these are the remnants of decent MPs, proper people
PLEASE. please have Mr. Pound on more frequently, Thank you

He did have another.
I just laughed all the way through. Like standing at the bar listening to couple of old codgers putting the world to rights.
And that's, I think. Farage's idea for the interview.
Stephen Pound shocked me though....proper funny.
What a very funny man. Proper traditional labour MP. Wish you could get Dennis Skinner on.
Is the beast still about?
I doubt he'd say yes. He associates UKIP with Toryism ("turbo-Thatcherites", he called them in his autobiography) so I can't picture him wanting to be friendly, even if he did appear.
Stephen Pound is such a fun guy! Best wishes to him

Nice to see a human MP. A loss to the commons.
Dear Nigel, brilliant. Really cheered me up. You and Stephen Pound were great to watch.
Crikey, it's hard to believe that Stephen was a Labour MP.
Sadly his generation have virtually gone and politics is full of boring automatons
What a brilliant ‘Pints’
Nigel, can I suggest an Award like Bafta… a Pinta?
Stephen Pound must be in with a ‘best of’ chance.
Honourable Mention to todays Jim Davidson stint on Talking Pints in Pompey.
More power to your elbow Nigel.
What a fantastic man. May he live long!
Now that is how to drink a pint... 3 chugs and gone.
Fantastic episode of talking pints, what a sense of humour.
I’ve never voted labour in my life but I’d vote for him top guy
There were a few Labour MPs I'd have voted for. I'd have placed an X for Frank Field and Katie Hoey too
@@paulfaulkner6299 ye they should have been Tory’s really

What an usual thing. A principled, honest, experienced politician. And from the left of all things.
Would love to see more like Stephen in politics rather than Politics Graduate with no real life experience in life. This is probably why Labour is a mess.
And the cons party not in a mess 😐.
Hilarious, Very funny man, shame there's not more like this guy.
What a top man ..
Bring him back in ..
I bet he knows what a woman is ..!
It's so rare to see an mp with a sense of humour.
He drank more of his pint than anyone before.
And a Jameson’s whisky chaser !
brilliant television...well done GB news
There should be more Labour MPs like Stephen Pound. I wish this Talking Pints episode had been three hours long.
Brilliant.
this was wonderful! Nice Man as well as you
What good fun, I really enjoyed that.
Love this chap, proper bloke, would love a few pints with Stephen!
An example of what real politicians used to be like.
Make Stephen Pound Prime Minister!
What a star ⭐️ that guy is Quality 🤓
I'm glad Stephen actually drank his pint unlike most guests.

I could listen to stories from Stephen pound all day what a top bloke
What cost of living crisis ???
Airports are full of people booking holidays to get away on holiday.
What a great guest

WHAT a character !
1:20 wow, he was thirsty!
The Ian Paisley crack was funny!
As an Aussie I just wanted to say that he downed that pint like a champion.
please get mr pound on gbnews regulaly.
Steve pound a fantastic MP LOYAL, HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY. His only downfall was he was not a conservative. Really looked after his constituents
Very entertaining
Top bloke. MPs are not built like that now.
I'd vote for him! and I'm a rampant Righty :)
Excellent interview. A shame more MPs are like him, honest and willing to take responsibility and admit mistakes.
Brilliant interview....
Labour are in desperate need of people like Stephen these days.
Get him back on...so good
What a thoroughly decent guy..
He’s a liberal
Fantastic guest down to earth and funny
Best Talking Pints yet!
This is why I love GB news talk radio because they have a completely balanced bunch ❤️
Hilarious fellow, wonderful conversation between two real characters.
one labour man i would vote for, along with dennis skinner
Seeing Jim Davidson and Nigel talk about how fast Stephen sunk his pint is hilarious.
He has seen life!!
I disagree with his politics yet respect the man
Nigel please do yourself a favour and stop smoking, your rasp is getting worse, I was a 20 day smoker and I managed to kick the habit, we want you around nigel for a long time.
What a character this guy is, we need more people either side of the house, this is what the general public relate too is people with a backbone
Nigel Farage, come back to politics, your country needs you 🇬🇧
Used to be my MP, good bloke.
Absolutely brilliant what a great man ....must admit did think I was listening to KRYTEN from red dwarf if you close your eyes lol .... God bless Stephen Pound
If Blair can pretend he wasn't lying then he may still not expect to risk getting shot
He nearly downed that pint in one!
Those were the days....
Proper Labour. None of this lunatic nonsense that we see now.
Agreed. Zarah sultana is the worst
Once Navy always Navy, fair necked that pint down !
Why oh' why can't all our MP's be like Stephen Pound?....He must have felt right out of place in parliament.
Great guy. Not a Labour supporter, but he is a great loss to parliament.
Treasre them! We will not see their like again!
A good politician with his feet on the floor. Shame there's not more like him
He does like a free drink doesn't he. 🍺
The house pf commons is a disgrace. They are discussing the countries future and they sit there laughing and acting like idiots, what an embarassment to the British people !!!
Drinks like a fish.... Royal Navy training!!
Jesus H Christ... he just nailed that pint in two gulps.
Matelots love a drink!
Good
farage is wrong about abolishing the HoL and replacing FPTP

Boy! This man knows how to sink them, I bet he's no stranger to the Parliamentary subsidised pubs.
A proper MP who knows what it's all about. We need more like him instead of the wimps who become career MP's . Labour lost it with the likes of Blair.
Now this is the labour that I remember as for the people. Prior Kinnock and Blair
what a lovely bloke
Proportional representation-a MUST!
At last an MP I vote for only to find he's retiring .
Lozenges helped several people I know quit.
What a humorous bloke. I don't remember him in the House of Commons but he made me laugh here with his non-stop self-mocking humour. Congratulations to Nigel F on the choice of guests.

Sure he is a nice bloke but was bloody rude when at west v Fulham a couple of blokes who had a few beers nearly bumped into him .
I like him! Needed a bit longer!
