Hi there! I'm studying the applications of this tecnology in my end-of-graduation-course paper (don't know the right term for it in english), could you share your project with me? I'd be really helpfull. I'm searching APIs, hardware and all stuff involved to apply in a research about completing 3d modeling taks.
hey pixelasm, This is an interactive effect i'm trying to emulate, just wondering do you think this would be possible by using the wii remotes instead of Kinect? trying to implement this with a mask rather than facial tracking.
This is so freaking cool!!! I just got my computer and kinect to do stuff like this. If you dont mind me asking, what program do you use for face recognition?
Thanks for the compliment :) For head tracking I used a #kinect plugin for #unity3d. The API gives you coordinates for several points on your body to which you can track objects.
TLDR:how did you manage to let the camera view area fixed to the box you're presenting? Hi, Pixelasm, I love how you created this effect, and it looks awesome. And I'm trying to use unity3d to recreate what you did, but I met some trouble. I change the camera position relatively to where my head is at a computer screen. But once the camera move, it will shift so that user can see the edge of the box and it's not so realistic, how did you manage to let the camera view area fixed to the box you're presenting?
Did you try to get in contact with the dev of the Kinect to Unity API asset on the Unity Asset Store? There as well as on the forum are some users of the API which might have some experience with UWP, because sofar I have only been working on Unity for PC ...
The Kinect plugin for #Unity3D has a forum running, there ou can find some detail info on how to do this. The topic you might want to look for is called projection matrix.
Hi, Im looking for a kinect to allow me to make 3d tracking of dancers for models 3D low poly, what equipement do your ecomend to me buy? I wanna conect it to my PC i have 2 pc one of them with win 7 and the another win10 64 bits.
Other than using a kinect v2 there is not that much of hardware needed. Any recent pc should be able to do the tracking job. As for recording I think there was a #Unity3d plugin available in the asset store to do exactly that.
@@pixelasm soons very good, but someone told me the Kinect v2 is not supported by Microsoft anymore, him recomend me Astra Pro but is very expensive to me, and I don´t have Idea what features or extra options that allow that kind of kinects, I think I get by with cheapers kinects like V2 as you said, but just the problem is that they said no longer sypported by Microsof, not sure what it means, what do you think?
@@mauror.6307 that is correct Microsoft does not further develop Kinect. But you might still be able to run it at least on your win7 machine. Win10 might also have some older software supporting kinect v2 but no further updates. Best is to check on unity plugin forum for kinect.
@@pixelasm I buy often in Mercado Libre is the best e cmerce plaatform here in my country something like e-bay, and I see very few people sell adapter for win7 even Im thinking in change mi SO to win 10 soon, so this kinect V2 could be a bad shoise for me, my friend keep recomend me Orbbec astra, but even when he said is cheap, for me is expensive, arround $280 bucks, I wonder if there are something cheaper max $140 bucks, do you know it?
Miyeon Kim this should also work with version 1. I went for v2 directly because it has a higher resolution. If I recall correctly the #Kinect for #Unity3d asset on the store also supports v1. Just check their forum out. They share a lot of info there.
This is a really clever idea, well implemented
Nice! Could you make a tutorial?
very cool
thanks :-)

the keyword is camera projection matrix, just lookup the kinect asset in the unity asset store forum ;-) it is somewhat similar to a tilt shift lens
Thx man! I will dig into it!
That would be awesome if you share the source code! Thanks and have a good day
Cool :D
can you share this? I'm trying to get a similar set up.
Hello
Can you please tell how to do this
Very Cool!!! Tutorial please!!
Exzellent
merci :)

Hello, where can we have the source code of this ? Where can we buy them ? Thanks.
Hi Pixelasm
I'm wondering if this project is available in the asset store? or for download?
Thanks
Victoria Young unfortunately no, but you can lookup the kinect for ubity asset forum for tipps on how to achieve this.
Thank you pixelasm
Looks cool. Can you share your code, so I can play around with this also?
wow
pixelasm you have tried to build your game with UWP?
I have one game for kinect (in Unity3d) but i cant export to xbox one.
Can you help me?
