Good job cleaning and planning today! I am getting back to my planner this month too. I start back teaching next week so I need to get myself together!
The doctor you were trying to think of for elder care is a Geriatrician. The best decision we made for Mom was getting her to a geriatrician. They deal with elderly and know what works! Made a huge difference in her quality of life and she lived to age 96. The last 16 years with us.
Yes exactly! She was great! A friend of my one husband was recently diagnosed him with dementia, he is 10 years older than her or more? So I recommended my parents doctor and come find out she was already seeing her!!! Well her husband is seeing her.
@@Myeverydaywifelife We saw Mom’s doctor every 30 days for a while to adjust blood pressure meds. Doc also took her off and sleep meds including anything like Tylenol PM. Mom became much steadier on her feet and I believe her memory improved. But, we also did a lot of things at home to help orient her and make life easier for her. Then, Mom had hallucinations and later she had auditory hallucinations. Doc prescribed meds that stopped those pretty quickly.
The Walmart Plus membership often is as low as $49 but depending on frequency of use, even the $99 annual membership is worth it. It used to be free shipping if over $35 for select items. Not sure about now. We have the plus membership as well as the Costco home delivery, which we love.
39:36ish ~ can you access your garden tub under the vanity that’s next to the tub??? That’s odd if you can’t and a bit frustrating if you have to have tiles removed to get to the plumbing…
27:53ish you can reset your FB PW, I have had to many times, goodness gracious I have to reset PW’s all the time due to forgetting them, too many passwords to remember for my old brain… lol
I use half vinegar/half oil for the wood polish, and while I wouldn't use any of the smurf oils (blue tansy, etc) in a linen spray, If you add a few drops to an alcohol base I would think it should be fine.
@@Myeverydaywifelife lol, some oils have a blue appearance to them. Blue tansy is the one I can think of off the top of my head, but I think there is a pine or cedar. Maybe a geranium of chamomile? The blue oils will stain blue, but the other oils typically don't.
Instacart is variable by store. Some stores upcharge, others dont. I order litter from petco since aldi added fragrance to theirs, and since I have the yearly instacart membership it is 2.49 for fees and I get a 2 dollar credit for scheduling a 3 hour window. So .49 cents for getting it delivered. Looks like for the brand and type I get I might be able to save 50 cents or so ordering through chewy. But we'll see. Lol. And there is a chance I could get the bigger size which would give me a reusable square bucket.... but it appears the way I do currently is on par with most places locally.
Okay, at TOTH I am hopping up and finishing morning routine (for me MR is basically getting myself ready for the day so I could walk out the door. ) then next hour I will be doing dishes.
@@GoingGreenMom Me too! But yesterday and today has been nice and cooler because of the rain we’ve been getting and it’s been overcast most of the day from Storm Debby. Nice break from hot humidity. Only got to 86 today.
Nice job cleaning! I just use microfiber cloth for dusting...no spray. I think you could make a spray with essential oils, without causing stains. Just put in water, or witch hazel, shake to mix before spraying. I'm recovering from something that has wiped me out...must wait to do after vacation cleaning I guess. I remember seeing you do the ceiling in your MB somewhat recently! Sounds like you have a great plan for August!
Glad you guys faired well with this storm! We got a lot of rain and wind! A neighbor’s small tree limb came through our pool cage screen! So, it looks like we need to replace that. Had some lightning damage to a big tree out back but aside from that, we’re okay. Lots of flooding in Sarasota and other areas. 🙏 Sorry to hear about the cooktop! The black cast iron pans will cause that. I so wanted to use those but because we have a glass cooktop, I decided not to. They heat up too hot and cause it to crack. I hesitate to even use my enamel cast iron Dutch oven but have a few times.
@@authenticallyamber99 oh no 🙀 not good. More rain today and we were without power for a couple houses not sure why? We were out for a couple hours and came back to no power. The whole neighborhood was out , 33 houses and saw FPL trucks on the main road and tree company. Our trees i this need to be cut back from wires here badly so probably the problem. I have not been using on cast iron on stove lately but I’ve been using it in the oven but I place on the stove when I take it out off oven. Bob said it cooks have been the hot skillet in cold cooktop that made it crack? I did not see it crack I noticed it randomly one day when I was not even using the stove. Oh well it’s 20 yrs old so not sure how often you have to replace those things. Did not know that about iron skillets on cook top.
@@GoingGreenMom Yep I recorded 2 videos in one day but really spilt my cleaning yesterday into 2 videos! Win win! Might do Tiny Tidy Tuesday tmrw. Playing catch up because I didn’t get much accomplished around here in July.

FlyLady was super overwhelming. She didn't cover all rooms either. I know entry way was one of the partial weeks and the living room i think was the other? Idk, she was soooo demotivating with all the rmaiks because I always felt behind. I did like doing top and bottom of the hours with people in the chat rooms before we got kicked out because the mods didn't like that we were chatting.
Yes Fly Lady seems super over whelming to me too. I think I’m going like the the one zone a week but do it all in one day on Sunday or Monday. Easier for filming also.
Fly Lady was too much for me. Maybe if I didn’t work then it would help. However I did take some very good concepts from her routines. Like daily chores, weekly chores, etc. I have noticed my kitchen, living room and bedroom are much neater since I have been doing daily chores. I can’t do the whole one load of laundry wash, dry and put away every day. That’s too much. I do laundry nearly every day but do things that are hung to dry or things like towels that don’t need folding right away. Then once a week I do a huge laundry day, fold and put away everything. I am blessed with a service that cleans deep my house once a week and highly recommend to anyone who can afford it. There is enough general every day things to do. I work shift work so I’m tired all the time. I didn’t always have a service and looking back now I wonder how I got it all done?
