The doors unloak automaticly and I have set up it close itself as well.

That stereo screen is sick. I got the factory radio in my '13 and it looks like something from 1992
does the newer style key work fine after you had a copy made of the old one ?

Mine works fine with everything besides the trunk open button. Every function to include starting the car works fine besides the trunk.

Same here. Trunk won’t open with new design key. Probably because it’s my 3rd key attached to the car. Only 1-2 have full function

My local Chevy dealer couldn't even program the fobs. Yet they still wanted to charge me $200 for each even thought they didn't do anything.

No it doesn't work for any C5. Different key fobs, different process, and the C5 doesn't have the glove box pocket for the fob. C5 it's a simple process, and you do it all in the DIC.
Only fob one and two have full functionality like automatic unlock, memory seating, memory mirrors, etc. Fobs three and four will lock and unlock the car if you push the buttons and they will allow the car to be started, but I would hardly call that an upgrade since you lose so much of the functionality of the first two fobs. I suppose if you toss your keys on the bar, people might think your Corvette is newer than it really is, so there's that. But my fob works automatically, so I keep it in my pocket and simply use my devilish charm to pick up trashy women, not a new model Fob #3 which is only partly functional.

I don't get it. Your key fob & key look like my fob 1 and fob 2. So you're saying this fob "feels like it belongs." I think that's because it does. I think it's an OEM fob and an OEM key. It matches the key fobs that came with my C6. So... pretty sure this isn't a "key upgrade."
it matches because you have an LS3 vette which has the “upgraded” key. The ls2 vettes have the dinky old looking key.
@@BarbarianKingGamer Well, I'm glad you got the nicer fob then. It sure would be nice if it came in a different color, though. Maybe something like neon orange or bright green. The black is slick and all, but it seems like everything I have, binoculars, cases for torque wrenches, cases for earbuds, video cameras, shoes, boots, monoculars, night vision scopes, computer power bricks, portable power banks, remote controls, smart phones, guitar amplifiers, stereo equipment, boroscopes, and every other darn thing all also come in BLACK. I''m swimming in an ocean of blackness and I can't find ANYTHING.
