25 years ago, I was there plenty of times working there like a Tour Guide, doing your job during some years... Now there are much more boats and much more people in the piscina natural of Saona and at the beach. But it is still amazing, really ... I love it... Regards from Spain...
how did you land the tour guide job out there? and how long did you stay in dominican for if you dont mind me asking! love the DR. built a house there in 2016 for a family it was a wonderful time
@@curefied Hi. I was in holiday there. Visiting Jarabacoa I saw a Tour Guide on her Tour with guests and asking her, she gave me the contact details to the boss of Go Caribic Tours in Puerto Plata. I called him, sent my CV and then I could start working there. I stayed there during 4 years. It was a beautiful and crasy time...1993-1997...
I live part time there in the dominican republic the resorts are cool but you really don't get the real dominican experience with that you have to come where the locals are and experience the real sights and food and beaches
Freaking miss DR.. I hope I can get some time next year to go there.. I miss getting off work driving to the beach and eat some fresh fried fish with ice cold beer.
If you like traveling back and forth for a total of 6 hours from your hotel to this island only to spend less than 3 hours on the island itself then this is just for you! If you like walking through waters full of coral and eating a bland lunch and waiting 20 minutes for a lounge chair to become vacant then this is the tour for you!
It's a lovely place it's cool to travel to experience something and to you know have input as far as things to put in videos like something that's actually packed or interesting but yeah it's cool to travel the world Australia to Europe to South America to Dubai to Asia or Australia anyway take care of yourself jeff God bless you brother

I was there a few months ago and came across this video because I originally wanted to search for Sao Tome. It’s definitely a place you should see when visiting Punta Cana/La Romana. But at some places, there‘s much litter and also, it can get pretty hot sometimes. Edit: I also was at this Wyndham thing, it‘s like everyone is going there or to a few other hotels.
Priscilla Ipina, yes I would say so, it might not be so hard to get on and off the boat, but it's a long walk to the island from the boat. It is very beautiful island though, I've been there and would love to go back, of I would recommend to bring water shoes when you swim in the water, there are alot of broken seashells
Sterile ocean ,what's it missing ? fish of course .Yes its nice but sandy bottom and clear water equate to no fish or very limited marine life . Nice vid though !
They have starfish, according to him. If they have starfish, they have other fish around. Waters like this often have several different fish passing through at different times, some you can hardly see.
