- My family and I traveled to the Dominican Republic on a 9-day vacation. We stayed at a beautiful resort, but after a while we got bored. So we did a quick Google search "what to do in Punta Cana" (even though we were staying in Bayahibe) and we found plenty of results. But one caught our attention. The title read, "Best Excursions in Punta Cana." There we found Isla Saona Excursions. After spending time researching, we thought this place looked incredible. It looked like a Caribbean Dream Paradise. We then asked around our resort but they were quick to try and sell us their overpriced Isla Saona tour. We decided to find other options outside our resort and ask locals. Luckily people were extremely polite and pointed us in the right direction. We ended up traveling 15 minutes from our resort to Bayahibe Public Beach where we met our tour guide Melvin. He offered us a day trip with everything included, food, drinks to not only Saona Island but a second stop to what he called a natural pool called Blue Lagoon. This was a great start to our vacation in Dominican Republic. Hopefully, you enjoy this video!

Thanks for the video. We gonna be in Saona Island in July. That speed boat you guys went back to your resort, it obviously is pretty fast. Does it make you sea sick? I was thinking taking adrenamine.
I’m glad you like it, thanks for watching. If you get sea sick easy then most likely yes you’ll feel it. It jumps through waves the whole way back, the trip is about 30 minutes long. But you have the option to take a catamaran boat back if you want to. It just takes way longer. Have fun! Be safe and good luck ✌️❤️

@@marilynmedina469 No, we went to him, it was a short drive from our hotel to the beach where we met him, called Saona Public Beach. But I’m pretty sure that if you reach out to him you’ll be able to coordinate something as far as transportation. Good luck 🍀✌️❤️

Yes!!! 🤦🏽♂️ time varies depending on your boat crew… but the first stop feels rushed a little. Blue Lagoon It’s so nice we all want the stop to last longer 😂. But it makes up for it once you reach Saona Island. 🏝️ 🍗 🍹 ☀️

Hello! We stayed at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. It’s an all inclusive. It has everything you need. But to tell you the truth we spent more time outside the resort exploring parts of the island. So depending on what you like to do on your vacation a resort maybe not necessary. Or if you would just like to relax and stay in one place then again we stayed at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. Is the Boat ride safe for 8 month old ?
I would NOT RECOMMEND taking your 8 month baby on this trip. My concern is that the actual Catamaran boats do not dock at the beach, you have to get on a small boat that’s extremely shaky, I witnessed an older man stumble and fall trying to get into the boat, then you have to climb onto the Catamaran from this small boat, another unsafe task, most people needed multiple hands helping to be able do this.
If you want to travel to Isla Saona with your 8 moth baby I highly recommend:
1. Make sure the Catamarán boat is docked at the beach so you can board it directly. (No unsafe small boats.)
2. When you reach Isla Saona make sure the Catamaran boat either dock at the beach or you are able to walk down into the beach from the catamaran. Again no boarding small boats.
3. And lastly, most important Make sure you use a Catamaran round trip. DO NOT USE A SPEED BOAT ON YOUR WAY BACK.
My recommendation is do not make this trip with a baby. Good luck!

Amazing place! Plan to go back with friends and explore the island, there are 4 sides / locations to visit. Where did you stay in Bayahibe, which resort?
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! Loved it! We stayed at Viva Wyndham Dominicus. Even tho this resort has it all and we loved it… we really didn’t spend too much time there, we did a lot of exploring around parts of the Island. I agree, amazing place! I have a couple of more video to edit and post but unfortunately I haven’t had time. Check out my other video where I visit one of Dominican Republics rainforest waterfalls.
