so cool! the bonus In The Final with Spamton Neo was so hype!! my only feedback is maybe the battle of Susie vs Lancer could've worked with Bowser's battle theme (non-giant), since it's technically the only time we play only as Susie
Nice! Great music choices all around. Only things I disagree with are me thinking Fawful’s theme should’ve played for some of Jevil’s cutscenes, and that the Boss Theme should’ve played for the fight against Susie and Lancer, since it also plays when you fight Bowser midway through the game.
The Soundtracks of Mario&Luigi: RPG3 Surprisingly fits well for Deltarune for some reason (Imagine Mario&Luigi: RPG2’s Soundtracks fitting well for Undertale)
K. Round and Susie/Lancer shoulda been the boss theme, Susie v. Lancer shoulda been the Bowser battle theme, Jevil shoulda been the Dark Star battle theme, and the King shoulda been the final battle theme. If you're going off of M&L rules, it's basically the same formula. K. Round and Susie/Lancer are both high intensity but goofy boss fights much like anything from BiS, so it's the normal bouncy boss theme. Susie v. Lancer is something BiS doesn't really have, a scripted faux fight, but BiS does have the Bowser battle theme which serves the more intense attitude. Jevil is a secret, more sinister fight despite the playful nature, the Dark Star theme serves that 'unique' boss fight theme while still being fast-paced. And then ofc the King should have a serious, climactic tone, not a goofy one, so the final battle theme.
as someone who really struggled as a kid to beat the mario and luigi clones and the trashcan boss, the boss theme is super intense, so to me it fits perfectly for jevil/king/neo/queen. plus, I actually think that every boss having the same theme in BiS is kinda cool, it gives all of them a similar intense energy. king and queen dont really feel fit for the final boss theme, especially because they are NOT the final boss of deltarune in any way. for me, the boss theme doesn't fit K round and susie/lancer, since those fights are pretty silly and dont have high stakes (ml and bowser's fight themes are pretty casual) for susie v lancer, I thought it was cool that susie inherited bowser's theme in the moment, the sinister motif being transformed into a fast paced fight song, pretty much the exact same thing that happens in deltarune with susie's theme. and as for dark star's theme, that doesn't exist in the original inside story, and i dont really care for the remake
@@Goldpro2 I get what you were going for, but my point is mostly that your choices stem from radical personal preference when a mod like this, in my opinion, really should just be following set rules. Final boss = final boss, etc. Because what you think fits is not based on game rules and how these games both operate in their similarities. It's almost false advertising in a way, because it's not actually aligning the themes in how they match, it's aligning it by some uncharted bias, y'know? Not that it's a huge deal or anything, that's just my take.

all the music files are stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DELTARUNEdemo\mus so I just replaced most of them with the BiS ost, as ogg's with the exact same file names. it doesn't work perfectly however, replacing the cyber world theme will softlock the game the first time you enter, and other tracks just don't work (those I had to do in editing)
Realizing that so many of the boss themes in the video are just the Boss Theme of BIS just made me realize how spoiled we are for songs in Deltarune. You don't think about Deltarune having that many songs, until you realize that BIS really doesn't have that many boss themes. Even if including the remake, there's maybe four different ones, while it's more shocking to see a normal boss in Deltarune without its own unique song.
