Not surprised. Too many craft breweries out there now and sales are down.
Not surprising, but also stinks. Unfortunately Chicago and Illinois are hell bent on shutting down business.

Craft beers are too heavy. You drink one and feels like your organs are burning. Rather have a simple Mexican beer.

Some how you think running a business like such would be better in California? Just say you want to live there.
Their main business has always been in California. That's were they are from. Craft beer is on the decline. They are downsizing.
