Furiosa was a good movie. I hate when good movies flop. The same thing happened with "Doctor Sleep (The Shining 2)" years ago.
Dr. Sleep was so good. Can’t remember her name, but the actress for Rose the Hat was amazing. She’s great in Dune as well.

In fact, majority of great movies flop. If you look at the highest grossing movies, majority of them are mediocre movies

I'm going to be completely fair and report that Furiosa on it's face isn't woke. It didn't feel preachy or man hating. I can say I enjoyed it and it kept my attention. People thought it was woke and decided not to see it. The damage is done and even I now think that Hollywood is in serious trouble.

I really liked Furiosa. Its really Chris Hemsworth's "Dementus" that stole the movie. Much like how Furiosa stole Mad Max in Fury Road. Dementus is the Furiosa of Furiosa. 🤔

Mel Gibson is 68. Not sure it would work in this type of movie. It’s like bringing back Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones. They waited too long to bring them back.

You seem desperate for this film to fail. This was a great film period. It was poorly advertised which is why it's flopping in some countries.
I said it before. I think part of the reason is cost. Why spend so much money on gas, food, and tickets when you can wait not even a month, just stream and watch any movie comfortably in your living room.

Cost of living is still going up for average folks. Hollywood has put out crap and driven prices upward. My family is cutting back to pay for food and gasoline. We go to local parks for entertainment.

The Fall Guy was such a fun and wholesome time, I was kinda sad it didn't do well. But then again, not the least bit surprised either.
Hollywood has burned so many bridges and done so much damage to their relationship with the general audience that the latter is responding in kind.

I living Dover the capital of Delaware and we don't even have a theater anymore. Some places have been hit hard and alot of people just don't have the money to go to the movies.

I think the main problem with Furiosa was the plot was absolutely terrible. There are multiple times where I was like “Wow this is cool,” and then other scenes I’m like “I couldn’t have thought of a worse scene.”
I'm no Mad Max expert but the timeline doesn't really make sense here. In Fury Road, Max and Furiosa were about the same age. Here is where the problem hits, when Max was a young man (the age Furiosa would be here) society hadn't totally collapsed yet. There was no wasteland yet. Police and hospitals still existed. Even tourism and vacation spots were still a thing. So how the hell was baby Furiosa born into a world that was already post apocalyptic?
I got the impression that these new movies are further in the future than the Gibson films.. Kind of a reboot I guess?

The movie was really good. People are just tired of Hollywood. Most thought it was a movie about a "Girl Boss" and that couldnt be further from the case. Chris Hemsworth was actually damn good in this. People are also struggling to put food on the table let alone pay $15 per ticket to go to a movie. I get the $19.99 season pass but most families cant afford it when food items average $6 in a grocery store.
It failed because nobody cared.

I as a movie goer am tired of prequels, sequels, reboots and superhero movies. I want new ideas. And I prefer movies be no more than two hours, an hour and a half is ideal.

Not understanding all the 'girl-boss' hate in films. Does it seem forced at times? Yes, in some cases. Is Furiosa a case of that? Not in my opinion. People really see a female in the lead role of a film and automatically pass on it? Weird.

I watched the movie today and I thought it was awesome!, I give a 9 out of 10. The story was easy to fallow from the start to the end, great development on main characters, great action, good villain (he was evil), no boring spots during the movie. The Movie made sense, in other words it was not confusing. I loved it.

Furiosa was good. Part of the reason some of these movies are under performing has more to do with the cost to see a movie and how quickly movies are streamed.

i didn't really think this was a "girlboss" feminist movie. Was a pretty solid action movie. Conservative influencers, and I'm saying this as a conservative Christian, latch onto anything they can to generate outrage. Look at Ben Shapiro creating Bentkey (daily wire kids)... they did that under the illusion of "we're making safe content for families", and then they made a Bluey knockoff. But Bluey is a pretty tame show, so what's the point?

Furiosa was good content. It was a damn good movie.
People aren't going to the movies for a variety of reasons. It's expensive to go to the movies. Regal Unlimited and AMC A List offset a lot of those costs, but it's still money, and the economy is bad. On top of that, there's too much focus on streaming from studios. Streaming is the new direct to video, and audiences just don't trust the industry as much as they used to.

I'll agree that most people are leery of hollywood after all their BS, especially when there is a female lead. But honestly, I think the biggest thing is the economy. Dropping $20+ on a ticket for what most people are saying is an average action flick just doesn't seem worth it. Most people don't have that extra scratch to blow on a movie that they aren't excited for. In the past, good word of mouth could get butts in seats because people had extra cash that they were willing to gamble with. But not in this economy. Now, that cash is reserved for something that people are really excited to see or used for food/gas/bills.
This film was unbelievably amazing! Hemsworth was fking awesome in it. There were scenes in the film that take demented revenge to the next level
I saw this Friday night and I personally enjoyed it. I don’t really get the woke aspect some people are mentioning about this film.
I just thought it was a solid backstory on Furiosa that we got hints at during Fury Road but also a solid revenge tale. Is there anything more to it than that? Me personally I don’t think so.
Now if there was a scene of “YOU TOOK SOMETHING FRONT ME, AND I WANT REVENGE, but also I’m a girl :)” I’d definitely would be second guessing things but I didn’t see that at all. George Miller is really a no nonsense director when it comes to his narrative given that there isn’t much dialogue here especially coming from Furiosa.
Also the action is pretty damn good. The CGI is more noticeable than Fury Road but given the scale of this film I see why more CGI was needed

I've felt the same way lately with wanting to see a movie and then the closer the release date gets the more I lose interest. I was excited about the new Apes and then by the time it got here I was not interested.

I also watched those others, not much anymore though but for old movie watches, etc. They actually have some of the most knowledgeable people to react to like Star Wars, MCU, etc.. but.... They enjoy their Freebies, tickets, and low end interviews too much to actually acknowledge what's happening and tell truthful thoughts. Have become more Shills than the reactors I used to like.. Which is sad because they are the ones who would actually help things move forward and correct things if they'd be honest and not just Love Everything and not ignore the obvious Messages pushed... So now if I watch anything from them, it's old movie reactions, etc where the Message isn't there and can enjoy a lil Real Honest reaction...
