No one should go through confinement without proper care. That very rarely happens in Asian culture. Not just China. But he is a 1 man show, seems like no help from others. Usually the extended family helps too so mum can rest day and night
Rose is lucky like my mom. Watching Wu take care of Rose reminds me of how my father use to do the same for my mom. Before and after work he would be a great help for her with my older siblings and myself. So watching these videos reminds me of those days. I miss my father. ❤

I admire other people’s culture. It’s nice to see how the same things are done differently in other parts of the world. Rose’s postpartum confinement will give her body time to heal and she gets time to bond with her baby.
Can you imagine women in the US being confined for 30 days! The country would come to a stand still.😂
I don’t like it frankly but that’s just me. I think resting, taking it easy is great, but lying to for a month with little movement doesn’t seem like a great idea to me.
@beachgal2023 you mean women in US don't? I'm from South East Asia and our confinement is like Rose's. It's usually about 30 to 40 days. During confinement, new mothers are often assisted by family members or a hired helper to cook for the mother and look after the baby.
@@blumberg1982 it is the culture and Rose has to be in confinement and then she be able to go about and do things I see nothing wrong many woman would like to be in that position have a good man looking after them!!!
Rose needs the 30+ day confinement. She had a probably difficult delivery and looked weak after the baby was born. She looks much better now.
Wu Jianyun is so devoted to his Rose. There is nothing he is not prepared to do to ensure her wellbeing. She has made him a very happy soul and it is a pleasure watching the strength of their bond.The best content for weary viewers works like a tonic.

For most ethnic Chinese living in many parts of Asia, post parturm care is very important. The body undergoes many hormonal changes and extra nutrition is needed. So Mr Wu is taking care of his precious Rose❤

In my country we call confinement being in a straw bed. It last for six weeks. We drink herbal teas, take herbal baths and massages. We also eat lots of nutritous soups. Belly bands are also part of the process. A lot of the young people don't do it anymore but they are invigorating. Its lovely seeing how other countries go through the postpartum period.
you must be from the Caribbean. We do all of that in Barbados. At least they used to.

What has he sacrificed?she did the work delivering the child. Looks like he doesnt go to work office hours so he has the time to cook for her . Isnt that the least he should do? Am not denying he is responsible but his wife made the sacrifices. She moved to another continent , learnt his language, is living on extendable visa. Will not be given citizenship. He should be thankful and I can see he is.

Rose, in my country, we have similar traditions. I'm from Saint Lucia. Our confinement is nine days, and herbal teas . After nine days, we can take a nice hot bayleaves bath and a rubdown with bayrum and coconut oil.

It shows in how happy their womenfolk are, they've truly got it figured out. Hubby helps, women help, so she can recover and be strong to help down the road next round with others. What he is doing is very common in Asia. In fact most new mothers get even better care than what Rose is getting. The mother in law usually helps too. In fact stays in with them to look after baby at night, cook for daughter in law . He doesnt have a 9 to 5 job so he can do it but at night it must be a challenge as it seems they have no one else in the house helping.

Traditional Chinese medicine is very hard to drink. It’s very bitter. I can’t blame Rose. Here in Asia we have something like sour/sweet dry plum to eat after drinking this tea. Just to clear away the taste in the mouth.

I love how well the Chinese people care for the mother after birth. We don't have anything like that in the west. We're just left to ourselves to be exhausted, while being ripped open from birth, to care for an infant by ourselves. It's TERRIBLE. God bless you wonderful people❤
