In Philadelphia, they came right out and said the equity law was to protect people of color from disproportionate amounts of traffic stops, because they were unable to maintain the vehicle or keep the paperwork current.
Do criminals need permission before they rob a store? Do criminals need permission to shoot someone? Do criminals need permission to kill someone? So why does a cop need to call his supervisor to ask permission to chase down the criminal. This makes no sense at all.

So, hamstringing the police in enforcing crime is supposed to increase trust in the community? How does "more crime" increase a community's trust in the people who are supposed to "prevent crime?" This is like saying that McDonald's workers being told to be more pleasant and having conversations with customers at the counter will increase trust in the McDonalds brand while making the "fast food" no longer fast.
It increases the trust of the criminal communities, so they'll vote that politician back in to keep getting away with stuff as long as there are innocent people left to still take advantage of in the given area.
If there's no one to take advantage of and there's nowhere else to go provided everyone surrounding them prevents them from moving away or leaving the area, then they'll just simply resort to eating themselves alive in a manner of 'survival of the fittest'.

It's fine, those traffic stops are still allowed. It only applies to 13%.
He wasn't pulled over in an "under resourced" community. So it was ok to search him and his car. In fact it should have been required because clearly people not living there are the true criminals.

Additionally, felons have no rights. They shouldn’t be protected by unreasonable searches and seizures. Law abiding citizens shouldn’t be subjected to the same treatment.
