If you have a UA-cam channel you'd like to promote, please mention it here with a BRIEF, ONE-LINE description. Happy to help my fellow UA-camrs!! ✨Sprinkle Some Sparkle! ✨
I’ve always been an introvert and genuinely like living alone. I rarely feel lonely, I do get bored. I don’t work and am low income ssi. I don’t own a car but live in town. I meditate daily and watch spiritual videos. I think you have much courage and loving energy ❤
Each of these 8 tips will be expanded into its own video and made into a playlist. Watch for them! Please let me know your thoughts (good, not so good or indifferent). I'd love to hear from you! Sprinkle some sparkle!
I've been on my own for years and love it. I have friends, family and am in an art community but do so many things on my own like travel, go to movies and concerts, go to restaurants and cafes, and shop. It really suits me.
That is awesome! I'm not to that point...yet...but, think that I can muster the courage to attempt something on my own. Thank you for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for a happy, peaceful and healthy 2025! ✨
Hello Teri. 🙂 I am not alone. I have a good husband. Thanks for encouraging people to be positive and active. I support some families in Zimbabwe and I keep in touch with them. I also do some part time work visiting 2 people in their 90s. Loneliness is hard for many.... especially in old age. ⚘. Thank you for your kind reply Teri xx
Cathy, that's awesome on the great marriage, on the financial support for the families and your time. Thank you for watching and your feedback! Best wishes for a fantastic 2025!✨
Thank you for this channel. It has taken me 10 years, after my husband chose to end our marriage, to get to a point where I am committed to embracing and enjoying living alone and to stop seeking happiness, a sense of safety, and validation from my friends or anything else outside myself. I have had a lot of therapy, dealt with the influence of childhood emotional neglect, and now it is a matter of practicing the new attitudes that have emerged from my new understanding. I'm just now finding my center. It's new, and I need and appreciate the encouragement you are providing here. Every morning, I scour my UA-cam feed, looking for videos that will help me wake up feeling happy to be alone and to enjoy my own company. Yours have been the best so far, and I have been listening to them for years.
Wow, Ceil! You made me speechless...thank you for your kind words! I found everything in these videos from so many different sources over the years and now they're just spilling out. LOL It's what made sense for me and helped me through the years. I'm so happy they resonate with you! We have to take care of each other in any way we can. You've made my week! Thank you so much for watching. Best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025! ✨I'm hoping to publish another video tomorrow. See you there!! 😁
@TheSoloSilverPath you are so welcome. There are actually more video channels about being alone as a single senior than you think - but your videos are the best I've found. They are simple, straightforward, sincere, and I believe you will build a solid community here with those of us who have subscribed. One thing I want us to talk about is how NEW it is that senior women are being encouraged to date and to couple. Think about it: that was NEVER a "thing" in our grandmothers' day or even our mothers'. This ridiculous obsession about needing to keep romance in our lives after 60 is about one thing only: money. Senior dating apps are making a fortune selling us the idea of "fountain of youth through dating." Movies are about senior romance and remarriage, too, now because Baby Boomers are still the largest demographic, and they want our money. I think we need to consider this! A lot of my issues about being alone come from childhood stuff that I needed to face and heal. But social pressures from dating apps and movies, etc have a big influence on us too. Let's talk about that and be mindful of who is selling us what, and what is in it for them. Let's stand up to that together. We are not sheep! We can chart our own course and not give in to that stuff. Senior years and retirement are supposed to be about going inward and growing spiritually! Not reliving our teenage years!
Totally agree! Our moms wouldn't consider dating again at this age, but then again, no one pushed them either. I think though, the last Boomers (like me) and Gen X'ers are a bit more savvy than past generations. There are still many who act like sheep, but the numbers of the non-sheep are growing. I never really thought about it before, well, certainly not before I started this channel, but there are SO MANY strong, single senior women here. I'm amazed and delighted!! And, speaking of the community, although maybe premature, but I was thinking about forming a FB group or something. I really don't care for FB, but I can't think of an alternative. Thoughts?
Maybe UA-cam will let me post this: to start, you could have live sessions on UA-cam where we can all interact live through the chat/comments. Lots of people do that, like Susan Winter.
Absolutely! So sorry to hear of your loss. Becoming single that way is so much more difficult. You got this though. Hang in there!! Thank you so much for watching and your feedback. Best wishes for a peaceful, fulfilling 2025! ✨
Hello, I'm 62 and live in Belgium. I have been learning English for a few years now and I found your video by chance !!!!trying to improve my English !!! I find you amazing, and I'm going to follow all your video's. I do exactly the same as you are suggesting. It's really great. Thanks a lot for your good mood
Valerie, your English is very good and Hello all the way to Belgium! Thank you so much for your kind words and the very best wishes for a fantastic 2025!✨
Hi I enjoyed your video, I liked your emoji’s etc, keep going, I have travelled this path before you, I remember my epiphany, at 60, I felt like I had been in a dark room in my life, and someone turned the lights on -I saw friends who weren’t! And My way forward to a positive happy life - I am now 72 and never been happier - get self sufficient, expect less- be content with what you have - bliss!!!!
I call myself the blue dot 🔵 of Happiness. I read a book that changed my life called “The Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin, I was able to create my Happiness Project by doing some of the things you suggest. ❤
I have always loved my own company. But, just to expand that outside of myself, what I love best of all is the company of books. Of all kinds - novels, fiction and real life, poetry, history and many others: 'other men's thoughts and conversations and their books to read by the fireside or in bed with the rain falling on the roof or the snow blowing past outside the window'. This was written by someone who died in the year I was born so don't anyone please get concerned about the wording 'men's' 😃.
Thank you for sharing yourself with others. I've been in a slump lately and your having a positive way of facing down times is inspiring and helped me snap out of it. I'm 65, divorced, and trying to find meaning and purpose as you have spoken about.
Oh Jann! I'm happy to hear it helped some. That's what this is all about. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. Best wishes for a fantastic 2025!✨
I truly wish I could advise you and totally understand your dilemma. I feel we have the power within, it's a matter of finding it and sticking to it. That's what worked for me. Best wishes you find what will work for you and I hope you have a safe, peaceful and happy 2025. ❤
I am a former therapist, and I believe that there are medications that can help with this - they can give you access to the kind of change that is possible without ocd. For me, I couldn't get where I am today with my journey to embrace my life alone without EMDR treatment and hulypnotherapy. I see ocd medication as the same thing.

I turn 65 soon and have in the past year learned to like being alone and totally realize my gifts and how they do not depend on anyone else
Love this 💕
