  • PzH-2000 is the most modern serially produced Germany's self-propelled howitzer. However, its design is based on a classical self-propelled field artillery unit, with a frontally arranged engine and transmission compartment. More information about this howitzer on our video!

Now keep in mind that a single SMArt 155 shell (made by GIWS) releases two NLAWS that aim full auto. One Panzerhaubitze 2000 can fire a row of 6 shells that hit the target at the same time. 12 NLAWS at once... from 40 km distance. Now think about 5 Panzerhaubitze at the same time...

German here, The right word-to-word translation for Panzerhaubitze is Tank(Panzer)Howitzer(Haubitze)

The linguistic distinction between (Haubitze auf) Selbstfahrlafette and Panzerhaubitze does not exist in English, in contrast to German. Both are in the English self-propelled howitzer. But yes: a word for word translation is Panzer = tank / armored, Haubitze = howitze.

They proposed to sell 100 of this but price with all equipment spare parts estimated 1.7 billion. Plus Ukrainians doesn’t really know how to operate this thing. Most likely it would be waste.

@@sikais17 The training is the only potential issue I see. But some fast track intense training might make it possible to have an effective crew in 2 weeks or so. Many systems seem very automated. I really hope the deal goes through quickly.

We need to lend a couple of these to the Ukrainians. Maybe ask the poles for a bit of a protective element with US air cover. I'd give the Russians a week.

@@rachidnasr_ the Netherlands send 5 units, but considering PzH 2000 can do 6 shells MRSI, that means 1 PzH 2000 would be equal to 6 ordinary Artilleries.
Coupled with Excalibur shells, then the PzH 2000 can outrange even the largest Russian Artillery, 2S7M Malksa. Thus making this artillery the de facto God of War.

Manchmal ist Wort für Wort übersetzung falsch oder unpassend. Tankhowitzer ergibt im englischen wenig bis keinen Sinn.
Sag mal tankhowitzer, dann schauen die dich fragend an. Hab eben einen gefragt: 'What do you think when i say tankhowitzer?'
Antwort: 'big gun on a tank?'
In diesem Fall steht Panzer für Panzerung = armored
Self propelled armored howitzer (Selbstfahrende gepanzerte Haubitze). Dann weiss jeder mit Muttersprache englisch sofort was gemeint ist.
