What I particularly enjoy about your channel is that as you grow and and refine your craft your ethos of a non-judgmental presentation of information hasn't changed in the least. My Roll: Chambered compensator, Appended mag, Outlaw, Rampage/Multi-kill clip with stability masterwork and a counter balance stock. It has no kick and hits like a truck.
Definitely my favorite weapon in the new season and the one I keep farming for "ideal" rolls. I prefer Rampage over MKC in every instance because it's just easier to manage, especially in PvP or the Sundial. Vorpal is a beast and it was one the first one I got in the new reason, I've been praising it with my friends since then. Good call.
Demo w/ Multi Kill Clip and Vorpal basically covers most of a player's in-game needs for both PVE and PVP. Also, that's incredible that you got into a Paul Tassi article. Dude does really good work covering the game. He works with a another Destiny creator called SayNoToRage quite often. They host a podcast and discuss the game in depth a lot. You should look in to speaking with them sometime.
Excellent watch thanks. Worth referencing once your at 92 on the season pass you get a double perk on the last column so you can have Vorpel and rampage or multi killclip on the same breachlight with demolitionist, and if your lucky accurised and drop mag together. There are some insane rolls. I’ve been having a ton of fun pairing it with my auto loading holster/demolitionist Martyrs Retribution in both PVE and PVP.
Nooo! I have been loving being one of the only people using this, stop giving it publicity! In reality though, thanks for the in depth review of the perks, I didn't realize vorpal weapon was so strong. My very first one I got was drop mag, demolitionist, and multikill clip, and I thought I couldn't get much better.
Thanks dude! Love your stuff, I was JUST working on grinding out for a god roll of this bad boy. NOW I understand what Vorpal Weapon REALLY can do. Thanks a bunch man! Phenomenal work and you are nasty as hell in PVP. Edit: Just got one with Fluted/ Acc Rounds OR Drop Mag/ Outlaw/Vorpal OR MKC with Range MW. I love it...
Thanks for acknowledging the power of vorpal on this weap; it was on my first roll, and when I tested it in Crucible, I literally thought it was bugged because it was killing supers so fast. Needless to say, one of my top kinetics, and def. my favorite to use. It's just so damn consistent and versatile.
Side arms are great and have used my anonymous autumn since it first dropped. It's just now that most people have their season fusion it's nothing but mindbenders smacking me from well outside normal ranges for shotguns. Great vid.
Worth noting is that ONLY arrowhead brake really makes the recoil vertical and it does that WITHOUT needing to put on a counterbalance mod. That frees up that slot for an Icarus, Target adjustor, backup mag. Chambered or Extended WITH counterbalance will straighten it out but imperfectly, leaning left, and you lose the mod slot.
I stopped farming after I got an outlaw/rampage range MW and chambered comp roll, but now you are making me want to go back in and get one that has rampage and vorpal in the last node. Getting a rampage stack to deal with people pushing you after you win an engagement is extremely solid.
Really love my demolitionist/multikill clip roll at the moment. Combining it with tricksleeves and the surprise attack mod gives it so much times at which you do extra damage
Thanks, awesome video and welcome back, hope you're feeling better. I finally caught what you and Paul Tassi were saying about the season pass rank 92 bonus. I'll be doing more farming for this now, looking for a range masterwork and a second perk option in the second node. I have the demo/vorpal combo and I love it, but I really like all the rolls I have on this - as you and others said, they all have a place.
Great vid and congrats on being mentioned in the Forbes article. I really enjoy my breachlight. I was really lucky and was able to get a good roll (arrowhead break, accu rounds, outlaw, multi kill clip, and a MW range). Vorpal is such a good perk!!! I have not tried the demolitionist perk, but I’m going to start farming for one.
I kept dismantling all my vorpal weapons because I thought I'd never kill a super with a sidearm.... thanks for actually putting in the work and bringing it to our attention.
Breachlight's been my kinetic weapon since week one of the Season, and I stand by it wholeheartedly. It just shreds enemies with any perk, and if you get a decent roll-mine is Outlaw and Multikill Clip-you're melting stuff. I never thought I'd be maining a side arm but this one sold me on them.
Best Nezerac's sin and PVP roll. Demolitionist with Vorpal weapon and Osmosis on 2nd choice perk. (U can get a 2nd choice perk on Saint 14 sundial AND obelisk bounty rewards once your season pass is up to level 100) ...
As a pc player I was initially confused when you kept talking about something called “stability”. I had to look it up and apparently it helps to reduce a thing called “recoil” which again I had to look up but apparently “recoil” is when your gun moves after you fire it. What is this phenomenon and what is it’s purpose? I’m genuinely confused on this matter 😐
First day of Sundial I got a Threat Detector/Rampage roll Breachlight, I've mained it. It feels really good. I have not tried a Vorpal roll yet, but I'll be grinding for one now!
Gotta say, it's pretty hard to pin down a definite roll that satisfies both PvE and PvP. I'm currently chasing a Smallbore -> Drop Mag/Accurized -> Demolitionist -> Vorpal/MKC, and my clanmate jokes that I'm more likely to get struck by lightning than get this particular roll.
My first (and only, thus far) breachlight has extended barrel, accurized rds, demolitionist, and quick draw. I haven't used it much because I've been using the Patron lately and now Randy's (which I just unlocked yesterday). I'm excited to try this out a bit more.
Threat Detector is pretty much always active on sidearms. Definitely underrated here I think. Also worth noting I feel like sidearms really don't need much more help with reloading. A loader perk on your arms is more then enough assistance there. For console users, I would say go with Threat or Demolitionist in PvP. That extra stability from Threat in nearly every engagement with this weapon is incredibly helpful. Demo is obviously for grenade spammy builds.
Got a max range breachlight with threat detector in 3 and quickdraw & rampage in 4. I love this sidearm for pvp. Run rampage when I want to be aggressive with a fighting lion. Quickdraw when I am rocking a sniper. Flashlights run from me.
Seems like one of the best sidearms, but I've been having a tough time topping my Smuggler's Word, which is one of the best rolled sidearms I've ever seen (Farpoint, HCR, Quickdraw, Kill Clip, & Range MW).
@@seb5542 Probably 80% of my Sundial activities were dedicated to trying to get a roll similar to this, and I did a hell of a lot of runs and bounties. It took me most of the season to finally get this. It's really strong with Vorpal Weapon. The scout is also beastly in Gambit with Vorpal Weapon and a Major or Boss Spec mod.
I have used an Outlaw Rampage Breachlight with extended mag and Hammerforged, and Range MW, in PVE ever since I got the roll. It's an absolute monster. For PvP I was grinding for a max range hipfire quickdraw but never got one sadly. I did however randomly drop a max range Smuggler's Word with Quickdraw and Rampage which I enjoy a bunch in pvp
I like the idea of pairing it with an energy weapon with Disruption Break. Try and Break a Super's shield from a distance then finish with the Vorpal Breachlight as they close on you. 100% or so extra damage if it works out. I've got a Quickdraw/Disruption Break Kindled Orchid that would work wonders.
I got a max range one with Demo and Vorpal/Osmosis. I didn't know Vorpal was that good on it so I figured I would use this one until I got one that had both Osmosis and Swash but now I might actually main this roll. Thanks for the in depth.
I have been loving sidearms lately in this game. I have a full auto and tap the trigger smugglers word that i love and prefer over breachlight. I have loved this thing for a long time i used it in combo with beloved to get revoker so i have loved it for a while. All that being said i wouldnt mind a breachlight with vorpal just to try it out.
Arrowhead Brake feels really, really good. You dont need a counterbalance mod with Arrowhead Brake at all. My Smallbore, Accurised, Denolitionist, Rampage/Osmosis one is nice. I miss the Arrowhead Brake one, but that doesn't have the other perks. I have a hip-fire grip mkc Edit: Looks like I have Arrowhead Brake on the Demolitionist Rampage roll too
PVE console player and i can't get behind it as well as travelers judgement with tap and feeding/rapid hit. just feels so much better to me. my breachlight is outlaw/multi. also, shout out to paul tassi!
Ayyyyyyy, I looked for your review of this yesterday! Great to see it’s covered now. Breachlight with Demolitionist, Osmosis and Nezarec’s sin is just... 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Marcus S IMO it depends entirely where you’re using them in the sandbox. -CH is more for grenade central builds, potentially building from there with armour mods -NS is more of general Voidwaker exotic with some (very) niche application on other subclasses with only Void weapons fuelling that activation. NS is well-renowned due to the balance between its high potency and low barrier to entry. Overrated? Not even slightly, it’s the absolute staple exotic for Voidlocks currently. CH is very good as well, of course. There’s no denying either of them being excellent.
@@CaptainClark23 Nezerac sin is mostly for devour tree but its a really boring subclass and maybe effective but I dont think its a staple, not by a longshot. Its just an easy choice, like hallowheart fire where u can go peregrine greaves and monte carlo.
Marcus S I’m not here to debate what you consider boring or not. It’s more that I tend to choose things based on effectiveness as when I’m going for results. Fun is there too tho, and CH is great at what it does. I was merely speaking about how one Exotic is more general than the other and that NS isn’t overrated for how much of a general platform it can be used to build from - especially without even considering ability cooldown mods. Yes, Attunement of Hunger probably benefits most from NS. But if constantly staying alive when recklessly running into endless enemies whilst also receiving significantly shortened ability cooldowns doesn’t make it in a staple, especially when you consider that it’s been here from launch, I don’t know what is man.. Use what you like, I’m not telling you what to do. I just know that I personally prefer to keep my options open in this game. Neither of these Exotics really ever leave my inventory because they both allow for some great options in various places across the entire sandbox. Again, do what you like. But I strongly suggest you try it out again with double breach refractors sometime. It’s still such a great Exotic despite it being out for so long. Regardless, I’m peacing out as this isn’t really going anywhere lol. Maybe next time try to hear people out more when offering your opinion. It generally makes for better and more sociable conversation instead of blanketing what they’re saying with ‘boring.’ Just saying.🤷♂️😂 Peace. 🤙
I have one with both vorpal and quick draw and the hip fire perk. Hip fire with the mod is amazing and beats LW in duels. I really like pairing it with QD/SS Beloved.
I have been trying to get a full bore, high cal/RR, Firmly Planter, Vorpal Repeater. Shutting down a super with Vorpal is incredibly satisfying. At this point I'd rather have it than other damage dealing perks in Crucible.
Joseph Woeste Travelers Judgement/Last Hope are the best Energy Sidearms in PvE, and ones like Anonymous autumn and stuff are the best for PvP. Good roll.
@Jeremy G mkc is now 50 percent extra damage I think. I will be keeping the mkc one for pve and farmed another one with outlaw vorpal combo which I will probably use for pvp. Mkc is definitely difficult to keep up all the time, I need to get used to it more
I love this little beauty, got a roll with demolitionist and multikill clip, its realy good for pve. Id like to get one with quickdraw and vorpal for pvp.
I'got to say, I like the feel of it at 100. Mine is arrowhead brake that gets in there leaving room for other mods. My version with Demolitionist and Rampage is a workhorse indeed. Has osmosis as an alternate perk too. Doesn't rea- I literally went and checked and this one has Arrowhead Brake and Smallbore. I put it on Smallbore immediately and never looked back. Now I am torn. The rand is good, but sacrificing less than a metre of range for the Arrowhead Brake recoil direction... Hmmm...
first time ive had coolguy suggest a build i was already using cause i liked it :) disruption travelers judgement/vorpal breachlight + tricksleeves is fun.
Damn thanks for this vid i thought i was done farming god rolls in sundial i was wrong. Gonna go farm for extended Mag, outlaw, vorpal. With a range masterwork now. My old one had rampage instead of vorpal and seeing the numbers vorpal is more useful than rampage and multikill clip.
I got a pvp/pve combo roll. Fullbore/acc rounds/demo/vorpal/osmosis and master work range :) feels good to take it in nightfalls for match game and wrecking in the crucible.
I don't use sidearms unless they have Full Auto. They don't feel right in my hands otherwise. I have a Full Auto/Rampage Smuggler that I got the first week of Forsaken. I fall back on it from time to time and it's the best any sidearm has ever felt for me. I also have a Full Auto/Rangefinder Last Dance for when I want some elemental flavored sidearm fun. Different things work for different people. Sidearms only work for me when I don't have the pound on the shoulder buttons.
Same, I main a full auto drang but also love my full auto smuggler, last dance. Drang I use in both PVE and PVP, last dance for PVE only(too easily countered with a riskrunner) and Smugglers I've only just got back out the vault bit might try it in PVP this weekend.
I didn't kno this could roll with demolitionist!! Gonna have to go grind for that one. I love this weapon in momentum. Pair it with my subtle calamity, and u've got one hell of a combo.
This side arm has made me go pull out the hammer forged, rr, rapid hit, multikillclip range MW lonesome I've been holding onto and I dont know which I like more
Great vids!!! Could we get an apostate video? I know you love the omniscient but the Apostate has some very interesting perk combos and would love to hear what you think of it!!!
Drop mag demo and rampage is my fav roll, esp when grenader is on. Demo pairs with rampage WAY more than multikillclip since you need a reload to proc multi but you can keep rampage up with a rampage spec without ever reloading with demo. And then with drop mag you get a fast reload when you don't have a nade(which isn't often lol) and you get so much ammo it doesn't negatively affect you. Outlaw multi is also good though. I've got a lot of these rolls with vorpal as my 2nd perk choice for when I'm in pvp and supers come out in just swap in my menu lol. Just wish it didn't have to compete with Izunagi's and Mountintop in pve though it does pair great with an auto loading myrters or a firing line snipe or trophy hunter with tripple tap/vorpal and appended mag(extended hurts reload to much for the same 1 bullet) if you're solo or not standing next to teammates.
I greatly dislike when legendaries outclass exotics in everyway and usability. I feel that Bungie needs to rebalace the roll of exotics vs legendaries in all weapons.
The balance is fine, if you exclude the crappy Year 1 exotics. The issue is that exotics can't have seasonal mods, so they get largely forgotten... Especially primaries.
In a season with 4 great sidearms, Breachlight would stand head and shoulders above the others for even me, if not for the fact that two of them are 300rpms. Love me a good 300RPM and hoooooo boy does Buzzard deliver. Current favorite roll, as is tradition: Chambered/Arrowhead, Accurized, Hipfire, Vorpal Weapon
Okay. Did the Sundial and selected only these. Got a Chambered Compensator / EXtended Barrel, Alloy Mag / Flared Magwell, Underdog, Vorpal Weapon / MKC. I dont know which options are even superior and it seems like overkill on reload perks. The only thing I like for sure is extended barrel. Counterbalance will reach 100 recoil direction and it adds range. Oh and the masterwork is already at 5 and is range. Might be very useful in the Crucible until it gets nerfed.
This gun is nasty and has completely 180'd my opinion on sidearms. I used to instant-shard them whenever they dropped. I decided to try this one out after getting an outlaw/rampage roll and it felt pretty good but I knew it could be better... My current (personal) god roll is Full Bore, Tactical Mag, Demolitionist, Vorpal Weapon with Range Masterwork. I run it with bottom tree gunslinger and between this thing and knife kills I can throw so many grenades I gave Shaxx priapism.
I cannot put down travellers judgement 5, I got tap the trigger and rapid hit with a few range buffs and a range mod, it feels like your using the crimson it is that stable and is deadly with this set up in PVP, I have been regularly beating most hand cannons even Lost Word and Lunas Howl and its big brother... I have some very good rolls for Breachlight and still put the Judgement 5 ahead just because it handles and feels better.
First game with this thing was nearly a 50 bomb. It absolutely shreds! My roll is demlitionist and multikillclip, so it pairs well with top tree stormcaller. This might be one of my new main weapons.
I have a couple of very nice rolls on these, but I’m finding the hit detection on console is very inconsistent. Sometimes it melts, and sometimes it just sprays ghost bullets until the gap is closed and mindbender says YOU’RE DEAD. Wanted to like it more since everyone is raving about it, but...
For PvE I'm super attached to my Feeding Frenzy/MKC/Range MW Last Hope. For PvP I'm super attached to my Rapid Hit/Tap the Trigger/Stab. MW Traveler's Judgment 5. They've been doing super well for me.... I have a few decent Breachlights, but idk, I wasn't feeling it as much as I have been with those two other sidearms. After seeing this vid though I might farm for some better rolls and give it another shot. I just love using Patron in the kinetic slot though. XD
i use breach light unless i need to use something else for a quest (requires scout rifle kills for example)... i love it,. my main is demolitionist rampage.. prefer the not owrrying about reloading in add clear situation over Multikill clip.
Probably the first sundial weapon I farmed for, Quickdraw + Demolitionist. Ended up with Polygonal for stability and Accurized and Range MW for range. I’m currently on Icarus Grip but maybe I’ll switch to Counterbalance mod?
I got a nice PvE roll, but still trying to find that nice Vorpal roll for PvP. This is easily one of the strongest and best looking Kinetic weapons in the game.
Being a new light player I just got my first breachlite with threat detector and vorpal, not the best roll but it keeps surprising me at how quickly it kills in pvp, it really is a shotgun chargers worst enemy
So I got a chambered compensator/full bore, accurized, outlaw, multi kill clip, range masterwork and that has been cool but I now really want to try that same combo but with vorpal because I dont have the skill with a sniper yet and shotguns just dont seem to cut it for supers and with this info I think I have an option to try to use now. But I also think my first roll still is pretty awesome so at least I can be super happy with what I do have.
Thanks. I initially dismissed this because smugglers has the QuickDraw Killclip combo.
This will likely be my vorpal weapon choice for times when I have well of radiance ready.
Even then cammy, don't sleep on breachlight

My first breachlight was full bore, accurized rounds, outlaw, multi kc, and a range masterwork
My Last Dance has rangefinder and threat detector and I wreck in comp
Buzzard feels better.
I eventually ended up getting a Breachlight with Full Bore, Tactical Mag, Demolitionist, Vorpal Weapon, and a Range MW.
@@AKSBSU definitely a great roll. They are amazing for super shutdown.
I got a Hipfire/Vorpal and kept it because it's my only Vorpal weapon. TBH, I haven't even used it. Now I will give it a try. Thanks!
Not started the grind for this yet, but did get the CoolGuy PvE Travellers judgement roll on the first time of asking, so that was nice.
Putting on arrowhead brake will put your recoil direction up to 100 so no counterbalance stock needed in that instance
Thanks for the in depth.
so glad to see my favourite content creator also recognises the power of Vorpal Weapon on this thing
Yo CoolGuy got content promoted on Forbes? That's awesome dude.
I got a hammer forged, appended mag, outlaw, quickdraw with a range masterwork. It’s sooooo good
Arrowhead Brake feels really, really good.
You dont need a counterbalance mod with Arrowhead Brake at all.
My Smallbore, Accurised, Denolitionist, Rampage/Osmosis one is nice.
I miss the Arrowhead Brake one, but that doesn't have the other perks. I have a hip-fire grip mkc
Edit: Looks like I have Arrowhead Brake on the Demolitionist Rampage roll too
My first roll was corkscrew, flared mag, demolitionist, multikillklip, range masterwork
Daddy CoolGuy back at it again
Oh I think demolitionist/ vorpal combo will probably pair very well with suppresser grenade on titan. I will have to test it in pvp
Extended Barrel, Tactical Mag, Quickdraw, Demolitionist, Range MW. Love it, however would switch out Quickdraw for Vorpal
I'm kinda giddy over this revelation. My demo rampage one had osmosis on it too. And I'm a Chaos Voidwalker in my heart, even as I mess with solar
Nezerec sin is ovverated. Controverse hold slova bomb is the way.
RIP Oppressive darkness
Marcus S IMO it depends entirely where you’re using them in the sandbox.
-CH is more for grenade central builds, potentially building from there with armour mods
-NS is more of general Voidwaker exotic with some (very) niche application on other subclasses with only Void weapons fuelling that activation.
It generally makes for better and more sociable conversation instead of blanketing what they’re saying with ‘boring.’
Just saying.🤷♂️😂
Peace. 🤙
I have one with both vorpal and quick draw and the hip fire perk. Hip fire with the mod is amazing and beats LW in duels. I really like pairing it with QD/SS Beloved.
Im glad to see that sidearms finally have a place in destiny.
I have been trying to get a full bore, high cal/RR, Firmly Planter, Vorpal Repeater. Shutting down a super with Vorpal is incredibly satisfying. At this point I'd rather have it than other damage dealing perks in Crucible.
My go-to energy sidearm has been my anonymous autumn with rangefinder and full auto. Absolutely shreds.
Joseph Woeste Travelers Judgement/Last Hope are the best Energy Sidearms in PvE, and ones like Anonymous autumn and stuff are the best for PvP. Good roll.
I was so happy when I thought that my grind ended with a outlaw, mkc/quickdraw then coolguy makes this video. Well, here we goo again.
Same T_T
@Jeremy G mkc is now 50 percent extra damage I think. I will be keeping the mkc one for pve and farmed another one with outlaw vorpal combo which I will probably use for pvp.
Mkc is definitely difficult to keep up all the time, I need to get used to it more
I love this little beauty, got a roll with demolitionist and multikill clip, its realy good for pve. Id like to get one with quickdraw and vorpal for pvp.
I am *loving* the love and support Sidearms are getting this season. I'm so torn between Breachlight and Traveler's Judgement still
I'got to say, I like the feel of it at 100. Mine is arrowhead brake that gets in there leaving room for other mods.
My version with Demolitionist and Rampage is a workhorse indeed. Has osmosis as an alternate perk too. Doesn't rea-
I literally went and checked and this one has Arrowhead Brake and Smallbore.
I got one with smallbore/accurized / under pressure and mck. Masterwork range.
I got a rampage/outlaw/ range masterwork. Not the best roll but definitely putting in work with it
I don't use sidearms unless they have Full Auto.
Thanks. I never thought about running backwards with a side arm shooting guardians with a super. My first reaction is usually hail ass ! Run.
Its nice that vorpal is very effective in both PVE and PVP
I greatly dislike when legendaries outclass exotics in everyway and usability.
I feel that Bungie needs to rebalace the roll of exotics vs legendaries in all weapons.
Alot of exotics need buffs and lord of wolves needs to be nerfed
The balance is fine, if you exclude the crappy Year 1 exotics. The issue is that exotics can't have seasonal mods, so they get largely forgotten... Especially primaries.
EnloeEagle Izanagis?
NorseGoat lord of wolves has been like this since it got nerfed in opulence and only now everyone’s only talking about it. Something isn’t right here.
@@legendinvoker Lord of Wolves has a catalyst now. That's why people are complaining about it now.
Hmm guess ill pick one up, but devils ruin still my super slayer of choice, idk how or why it just feels so perfect in my hands
Really want a Drop Mag, Demolitionist, Rampage or Multikill Clip roll.
I have an outlaw killclip high cal smugglers word. 96 recoil direction. Might give that a try
Arrow head / fullbore
Accurized / steady
Outlaw
Osmosis/multi kill clip
Range masterwork
Thoughts?
I cannot put down travellers judgement 5, I got tap the trigger and rapid hit with a few range buffs and a range mod, it feels like your using the crimson it is that stable and is deadly with this set up in PVP, I have been regularly beating most hand cannons even Lost Word and Lunas Howl and its big brother... I have some very good rolls for Breachlight and still put the Judgement 5 ahead just because it handles and feels better.
First weapon I masterworked with range. Outlaw and multi kill clip. Love it in and pve and pvp
First game with this thing was nearly a 50 bomb. It absolutely shreds! My roll is demlitionist and multikillclip, so it pairs well with top tree stormcaller. This might be one of my new main weapons.
It would get nastier if you have getaway artist and bottom tree stormcaller :)
@@linja3946 ooh that would be nasty! I gotta try that. Arc souls for days
Fantastic review. Now I want a vorpal weapon variant for pve.
XD
i have full bore, accurized rounds, threat detector, and multi kill clip with a range masterwork.
I wish it was an adaptive burst instead of aggressive burst. We already have Smugglers Word filling that archetype.
i use breach light unless i need to use something else for a quest (requires scout rifle kills for example)... i love it,.
my main is demolitionist rampage.. prefer the not owrrying about reloading in add clear situation over Multikill clip.
Actually that is a toptier combo. Of course the other 3 rolls need to be factored in too.
@@yamabushido6238 good to know thx
I just got hammerforged accurized outlaw and the choice between vorpal and multi kill clip. Jeez
The clip ends 2:00 and that hunter is like “S’up?”
Breach is God Tier. Love it. Mainly cuz the range is sick too...
