Hi, BravoCristian. HIM-to-Device needs the Drive to be stopped. Device-to-HIM can be done when the Drive is running provided that the HIM is firmware 1.006 or higher. Thanks!
Hi, where is the option "Download all ports" and for do it, do I need to do anything else or just put my HIM on the new driver and look for that option? I would appreciate your answer and this was a really helpfull video. Thank you.
Hi Alejandro. To get to "download all ports," press the menu button on the HIM and go to the Memory tab. Select HIM, copycat. Once inside, scroll down until you see "Download All Ports" Thanks!
nice videos, i have some questions if example im using DriveExecutives and replacing new drives shall i upload all ports and download to all ports too? assuming same option cards. thanks,
Hi, edinet. This video does not cover the use of DriveExecutive. With that said, using DE (or, preferably, connected components workbench) to copy and download parameters is a fine way of backing up your drives and will catch all ports involved. Hi Mark. Sorry for the tardiness of my reply! "all ports" copy the parameters for each option card, the mainboard, and DeviceLogix. Device to HIM only copies the parameters from the mainboard to the HIM. If your drive has options cards and or DeviceLogix programming, then "all ports" comes highly recommended. :)
Hi Javias. Here is a tip from the manual: "Before any CopyCat files are created, only the ‘CopyCat From Device to HIM’ menu item is shown. When Port 00 for the Host Drive is selected..., the ‘Upload All Ports’ menu item also appears." Hope that helps! literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/20him-um001_-en-p.pdf (page 50)
I live very much the added touches. Very polished.
Thanks, Bill. I appreciate the kudos!
Hi. Can you make a backup with the HIM with the VSD working?

What's the reason you used upload from all ports as opposed to copycat from device to HIM?

What happens if you don't even get the option to upload all ports? Just go with Copycat from device to him, I'm assuming?

how to parameter upload download allen bradly 753 old vfd to new vfd
does it copy from all Allen Bradley vfd's or just certain ones?
Hi sparky, this is only for the PowerFelx 750 series. Though the door-mounted HIM for the 520 series does allow for this functionality as well.
Thanks buddy
What is port 0
Hi DOLPsc. "Port 0" is the main board of the PowerFlex 753 drive. Thanks for asking and watching!
