An excellent video journal showing the good and the painful aspects of bikepacking. I've traveled in Turkey, never biked there. Love Turkish breakfasts! But the dogs, yes, the dogs. It's bad enough in the cities but out in the wilds, scary.
When you go around a sharper corner, please leave the inside pedal up. The outside down pedal has the weight on it. :) I am sure that would bring peace of mind to many us watching.
I'd love to know more about how you returned home on the flight with your bikes, assuming you recycled the bike boxes you flew over with. Did you get different boxes for the way back? Did you arrange to secure some beforehand?
Great question! We called/emailed around to a few bike shops until we found one with boxes. It doesn’t hurt to get a head start on it, but I’ve never had an issue finding a bike box in big cities :)
Hello! We spent about a week in the Taurus mountains and it was in roughly the first week of May. We later learned it may have been a cold front that made it particularly chilly for us, but hard to say how it is year to year and day to day.
I would love to watch this through but am struggliing with the timing. If you get the time to make shorter episodes it would be greately appreciated. Shorter episodes would also get you more hits for your channel's stats, more likes, maybe more subscribers too.
Hey Mark! Thank you for the feedback! I can completely understand that. I did actually make shorter videos :) this was just putting them together for those who prefer being able to watch the whole thing through. But you can watch the series of shorter videos here: ua-cam.com/play/PLpsYDfxz3CWLILnQrEWOzD9CpE6KBwNd4.html I hope that is helpful! But let me know if those still feel too long - I’m always interested in what formats and lengths are the most enjoyable :)
Have you bikepacked in Turkey? Or would you like to? I would love to hear your experiences!
Your smile and positiveness is very pleasant, good job!
Thank you so much!

Hello! Can you please tell me what was the month when you did The Taurus Mountain Traverse and how much time did you spend on this part of the path?

What shoes are you using?
I actually just use my regular running shoes (Asics) and flat pedals!
