    Big game changer for Boaters in general Your system would allow a boat owner to run Airconditioning. Off a small generator / inverter like a Honda E1000 which is way less money than most marine generators where are your AirConditioners going to be sold at

      Our air conditioners are available on www.mabrustore.com or though one of our resellers.

    How would you recommend keeping this charged for multiple days at sea without a generator, and how long would it take?

    • @AtSeawithAri
      @AtSeawithAri 3 роки тому +1

      You would be able to charge your batteries using your alternators, so if you're hopping from anchorage to anchorage you would recharge your batteries. If in port, you could connect to shore power.

    How many Amp Hours are these lithium batteries and how long does it take to recharge them with shore power ?

    • @MabruPowerSystemsINC
      @MabruPowerSystemsINC  4 роки тому

      This battery is 250Ah and it would charge in about 7.5 hrs on shore power with the AC off. It can be charged faster if needed, as quickly as 2 hrs if we swap the charger for a more powerful version.

      @@MabruPowerSystemsINC is there an advantage to having a 12V AC over a 120V AC besides saving on an inverter, which most boats will have anyway?

    • @MabruPowerSystemsINC
      @MabruPowerSystemsINC  3 роки тому +1

      @@willyum1208 our 12v units are significantly more efficient than their 115v counterparts so less battery needed to run for the same amount of time and far less alternator current needed to run them

      "Efficient"; So it runs at 31.25 amps at 12v (250ahr/8hrs)
      Does that include the raw water pump?
      Seems like a 400w load, which means the charging system needs to put out 350 amps to recharge in 2hrs on engine time... 3 times a day

    • @MabruPowerSystemsINC
      @MabruPowerSystemsINC  3 роки тому +3

      @@solosailorsv8065 31.25A is the compressor running at full speed, blower at full speed, and pump running. This particular setup was designed to give our customer the ability to use the boat for a day out on the water, while using a microwave, stereo system, outlets, cooktop, etc as needed without needing to run a generator. If we’re were making a setup for a different need, the setup would need to be modified with some solar or some other source of incoming power. If only the air con is working, you will get 16hrs out of this setup minimum. The customer with this installation has been extremely happy with the setup as it does everything he wanted but different customers have different needs so we can modify the setup based on our customer’s requirements.

    Is that water seriously splashing out on the side the whole time the unit is operating? Your neighbors in the marina will hate you for that! I once had a guy next to me, drove me crazy. That line should discharge under water to avoid the noise, or not?

    • @MabruPowerSystemsINC
      @MabruPowerSystemsINC  2 роки тому +2

      This is the standard way that we do this in the US for a better visualization that the pump is functioning properly. Many europeans do underwater discharge but this can become clogged with barnacles over time which adds an additional maintenance item and a bit more difficulty for the end user to confirm water flow. I would never have an underwater discharge on my boat but to each their own.

      how far above the waterline do you normally put the discharge through hull? also is their a limit on the distance from the unit to discharge location? thanks @@MabruPowerSystemsINC

    • @nicolasmabru
      @nicolasmabru Рік тому +1

      We try to have the water discharge no more than 12" above the waterline to prevent excessive noise from the water splashing into the ocean. We try to have the discharge as close to the unit as possible but it can be placed further from the unit if needed.@@evresort
