- The first video of our summer sailing adventures to Desolation Sound in British Columbia, Canada. After a months of planning and prepping we finally untie the lines and set sail. First stop, the incredible Hornby Island, a boaters paradise!
Loving your program, Thankyou, hell from Alberta.
I used to live on Tribune Bay at the High Salal Ranch. Also deckhand on the MV Belle Blonde.
Now back in Wales 🏴. Thanks for the memories 🇨🇦
It's a beauty spot! Cheers
Saw your post on YTSC. Nice one on the 200 mark! Cheers from another Salish Sea sailor!
Thanks so much, hopefully see you out there👍
Nice shirt at the beginning there Matt! :) Love your map too. You guys did an awesome job of capturing the vibe of the island. Instantly made me miss it! Great job on this one. Can't wait to see the rest of the videos from your desolation adventure!
Thanks guys! I do have a keen fashion sense 😉 Next vid is in production and will post soon. Cheers
nice to see fellow Canucks with a channel!
No doubt eh! Cheers
My ancestor in service to the King, sent those ships, and that's why originally named after him. After all he was Minister of Economy but also of War for a while while they found a replacement for the previous Minister of War.
nice job guys!
Colour me jealous.
I just finished oiling some teak and I'm walking by Never for Ever right now, she's lookin' ship shape👍
BC is such a beautiful place, nice vid guys!🙏🍻
I would say check it out but it's only bikini friendly for about 2 months a year😉
@@SailingFloatingFreedom guess that's what the hot tubs are for😂😂🍻
Is the opening shot of the sailboay in the video taken at Silva Bay on Gabriola?
That is Newcastle (Saysutshun) Island, we still haven't made it to Silva Bay yet. It's on our list though, thanks for watching. 😊
That was a really nice edit on this video, great job; +1 on not being in Trib on a southeasterly!
Thanks, we were checking Windy constantly to watch for southerly winds as we heard it can get dicey. Cheers!
A great place but don't get caught in a big wind from the south it's a sandy bottom and unless you have a Big anchor you can start dragging. I had to leave at two in the morning once and that was scary!
That's what we heard, we have a beast of an anchor but were a little nervous of other boats if we got wind from the south. Luckily it all worked out 👍 Cheers!
