@@grohu Not any bass has the smaller body style of the RSD / Sadowsky style J body. Neck shape is really nice too. Unfortunately I didn't realize those bass needed a little more setting up before tracking this. Note this is recorded with a completely direct signal. No EQ or Tone Shaping processing. Pretty solid foundation for processing. Hardware is top notch too.
@@fretnation neck on this 5 string looks like 6line motorway, how it is in real, it look wide because body is smaller, or is really wide. I interesting how it looks comparison of this has with Sire V5 in passive mode, which is still cheaper, even after sadowsky preamp onboard mounting.
For those wondering how it's recorded. Direct into a preamp, flat, with no EQ or shaping. Direct into camera. No microphone so no room. It is as pure of a bass direct tone we can get. I see some stating we are using an iphone in a small room. Yes the room is small, this is not filmed on an iphone but with a DSLR. Any questions or requests I'm happy to address. If you want to hear something specific I'm happy to do so.
These are the sub $900 Chinese Sadowskys. This is the first time I have really gotten to hear how they sound. I like what I hear.
Correct! These are made in China. For the money really hard to beat the tone out of these.
@@fretnation hmm ario pro r42 made of ash, sound much better and cost 30% this. Three are nice preamp, but this could be instaled at any bass.

Fret nation. Is this the same bass in other videos which they called sadowsky RSD metroexpress? Did you keep this bass if so. Did you like it?
Do the pickups have the 60 cycle hum? And what about the preamp controls?
